Say, mind giving me a rundown of why Shadow Ball, Detect, Bug Buzz and Hypnosis with Speed Boost? Is there a special way to use this set?

There is no real rhyme or reason with that set. Because it can't run Baton Pass and it's power is rather lack luster, I can't find much use for it, hence why I trained a 2nd one.

Detect is to build up at least one Speed Boost, while Hypnosis, if it lands, can cripple a team. Bug Buzz is the best Bug move, and Shadow Ball is filler that can hit many things for neutral that Bug Buzz can't (Especially since Steel lost it's resistance to Ghost), if you choose to not change it.

Anyway, I decided I'm going to build a team based on an anime character's team.
I'm currently 2 Pokemon away from having their team, but I decided to not run their movesets because the anime likes flare over utility.

Bonus points to whoever is able to guess the trainer whose team I'm using :lol

Well, I've decided I'm going run Mega-Gardevoir, Defensive Swampert, Camerupt and Galvantula so far. It's probably not foing to go well, but I'm not sure what would be a good idea for any other team members,
