The Snyder cut of Justice League is going to be the superhero equivalent of Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist. In other words, it's going to be worse than the reshoot version. The Exorcist prequel was refilmed by two different directions similar how to the JL movie was.

I am morbidly curious about the Snyder cut of Justice. I won't say it will be bad but I won't hold my breath as BvS was utter trash. I have yet to see the Snyder cut on that as well but I hear it didn't improve on much. And I'm not a fan of man of Steel. I do think this cut will be far superior to the theatrical release though. But will it be a good story? It's hard to tell. But I do not have high expectations like all the uber Snyder fans do.

My opinions on Zack Snyder are: he's a brilliant cinematographer and concept writer, but he's a meh director and a lousy dialog writer. He would be great for working on Batman related stories, concept writer, artist, cinematographer, maybe director. But he should not be involved with Superman, Flash, or Wonder Woman.

I am more interested in The Batman starring Robert Patterson than I am JL the Snyder Cut.

Zack Snyder is great at visuals and nothing else. He should stick with music videos instead. Watchmen is probably his best movie because it's nearly a page by page adaption of the graphic novel. I think both Dawn of the Dead 2004 and 300 are overrated, to be honest. His Dawn of the Dead remake help create the type of zombies that I can't stand (Zombies that run super fast).

So who do you think will survive in The Suicide Squad? This actually looks fun.

Most likely Harley Quinn. Idris Elba/Bloodsport is posed as the lead but I wouldn't be surprised if he dies, maybe he dies first to show that even the 'lead character' is not safe.

I wish they had James Gunn to direct Lobo instead because I feel like Lobo would fit his style better. TSS looks okay, but I hope more footage of the movie will change my mind.

Apparently, a kid who's kinda sorta in a gang is caught in the middle as the members get into arguments and scuffles which lead to all or most of them dead. Bats comes to the kid and opts to sit down with him and wait for the authorities to arrive. The artwork was described as "impressionist".

A close parallel story with similar elements would be the "Epilogue" episode of Justice League Unlimited.

Been reading random old Batman issues as well as the recent Joker War and Three Jokers stuff. Joker War felt like a setup for Clownhunter and his future antics, almost how Hush set up Red Hood to an extent. Three Jokers is decent, interested in how they are gonna conclude it.

What series (and issues) did the Electric Superman arc occur in? More importantly than that, why is that plotline so controversial?

The first appearance of Electric Superman was in Superman #123, but the story (like most 90s-era Superman stories) had been building up for a while before that in subplots.

It's controversial because it was a massive change for the character, and any time you make a change to Superman, you're going to get casual readers who treat it like the end of the world. People thought Superman was dead forever in Superman #75, and lost their minds. Most comic fans who were reading the book, though, knew that Superman would be back before long. Superman's such a well-known character that there's always going to be a high level of interest in a status quo change.

That said... people weren't really that upset when it happened? The books sold great for a few months, becoming series that everyone wanted to follow. The story didn't really deliver, which is maybe worth noting, but it's not like it was reviled at the time.

Did they ever revisit the Electric Superman in more recent entries? More to the point, did they establish a multiversal Superman who went electric and remained as such or one who was always electric?

So the DC Future State thing, I am kinda interested. They say it is only gonna be two-months so why not. Liking the new suits, and I find it funny Grifter from WildC.A.T.S is sticking out like Deadpool in an epic "Avengers Assemble" type poster. :lolol

If there's anything that smacks of Jim Lee's involvement, it's DC spending the last nine years trying to make Grifter a thing in the DCU. So many series and team-ups! It just never works!

Oh how I miss the Image comics during the founding years; most of them were dollar store ripoffs or mash-ups of Marvel and DC heroes yet somehow was cool for a kid at the time. I remember one time during lunch recess kids would argue over who gets to be Grifter and Warblade. :lolol
That said WildC.A.T.S was my favorite when other kids would go nuts over Spawn. And yes, Warblade for some reason was my fav despite being a hybrid of Lady Deathstrike and Omega Red with a Doc Samson green ponytail.:lolol

Since Tsuburaya and Marvel are pushing Ultraman, does that conflict in anyway, from a legal and marketing standpoint, with the "Ultraman" of the Crime Syndicate?

I imagine that unlike Captain Marvel it would simply be very, very hard to have a case against Ultraman when it's a very, very well pre-established franchise that's been around for over 50 years and is a massive cultural cornerstone backed by a very very rich company.

From my armchair analysis/not-great-memory of how similar trademark cases have developed, it has more to do with who's using the name more prominently, and what specific trademarks that company secured. I don't recall ever seeing an Ultraman-branded comic from DC, so (despite debuting their Ultraman character in comics two years prior to the toku character debuting in Japan) Marvel and Tsuburaya are probably on sturdier ground defending a trademark case.

As it is, with Ultraman-DC maybe showing up in two or three comics a year, and never as the title character, I think DC's okay not fighting this one out in court. It could go their way in the U.S. (DC got there first), but there's just no financial upside.

I figured that Ultraman would fit DC more than Marvel tbh (and Sentai/PR to be with Marvel) because DC tends to portray their heroes as godly, and Ultraman seems to be fitting for that.

Hell the closest thing Ultraman was related to DC was that Uotra Galaxy Legend the Movie was produced by WB Japan, so the teen in me at the time fantasize Tsuburaya would collab with Warner Bros to help bring Ultraman worldwide and includes the characters into the DC universe.

So I have been reading Batman again these days, Ghost Maker is interesting. Clownhunter feels like either the next-gen Red Hood in the making or a potential new addition to Batman's rogue gallery.

Is there an official viewing order for the Arrowverse? A way to follow each show so one won't get lost during crossovers!

Still a tad lost. Were there some long-forgotten experiments which didn't last long and were gone by the time they adapted Crisis on Infinite Earths!?

They were animated shows for the CW's online Seed platform (which may still exist?), setting up some characters and spinning off others. The Vixen animated series introduced that character before a different version would star in Legends, while The Ray was an animated follow-up to a character (and world) that was introduced in the Crisis on Earth X crossover. Each show was a limited series.

I find it both funny and surreal that The Joker actually says a line from a meme in the Zack Synder JL trailer.

Welp after it has been said and done I hope they start over and next time get someone who really knows the characters and can direct the franchise with proper care. Doesn't have to be all intertwined like Marvel but they really need a good conductor of a producer. Cause DCEU is a mess. They could have prepared a nice full course meal but got anxious and cut corners and gave everyone an incinerated culinary disaster that is visually close to a heap of dookie with a few of the food surviving.

The new Suicide Squad movie was solid. It's a big improvement over the first movie in my opinion. I love the over-the-top violence and the humor was pretty funny. I would probably give it a 8/10

The new Batman film is great. I think this could be the best live-action Batman film in my opinion. My opinion could easily change over time, but I overall had a great time watching it. It’s probably the best superhero movie since Logan.

I always wondered how they would handle the DC Ultraman when you have a Tsuburaya Ultraman who's more ubiquitous with the moniker and adapted by Marvel! I think we have an answer.
