THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure who the friend was, but I'm okay with that. Vulture looks spectacular. The web wings look amazing. I loved the scene with the bank robbery and the masks. The stuff with Tony was hilarious. They didn't give too much away, yet, they gave enough to wet your appetite. OH HELL YEAH!!! THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE SUPERIOR TO EVERY OTHER SPIDER-MAN MOVIE EVER!!!!! It's going to be the ultimate Spider-Man movie!!! I've been caught in this web of Spider-Man. |
I still feel the costume is a step down from "Amazing 2" (it was one of the ONLY things that film got right) but this has potential.
Literally my ONLY complaint right now is that MJ doesn't have red hair... For those who keep asking, the kid with Peter is supposed to be Ned Leeds. aka, one of SEVERAL secret identities used for The Hobgoblin. |
I hear the friend character might have been Miles' best friend but adapted differently, Dunno if it's true, but having 2 Spideys in MCU would be dope
Also, I noticed how Tom Holland's British accent is slipping again, listen to how he says 'awesome' |

So apparently Spider-Man: Homecoming is already confirmed to have a sequel, with an estimated release date of July 5, 2019

I forgot to bring this up, but I've been reading the first Spider-Man Omnibus over the last two months and it has been quite enjoyable so far (in fact, the first 17 issues were even better the second time around). Lee's stories are just great even if they are cheesy at times. Ditko's art can some times be messy (his Doctor Doom in issue 5 was atrocious), but in the long wrong, he's done some truly excellent work. I just finished the high school graduation issue (28) and the only issue I wasn't a fan of was this one where Mysterio pretended to be a psychologist and made Peter think he was going mad. That one was boring. There have been a lot of excellent stories and I am quite impresed with how story driven this series is for a 60s comic. I love how Green Goblin's identity has yet to be revealed and you've just seen Norman as a background character at times (so you wouldn't even think to suspect him).
I do have to laugh when they have blantantly screwed up character names though, which I hope was intentional, but I have the feeling they were. I mean, in issue 28 Peter calls Liz Allen Liz Hilton while Anna Watson is called Anna Wiltkins in issue 18. Oh, and MJ showed up far earlier than I ever realized. Interesting. I may need to rethink my opinion of her. Flash has been the real oddball as I always thought he was just a straight up loser during this period, but he is actually a good person. I do find it hilarious that he loves Spider-Man and hates Peter. I've also been slowly reading through the Doctor Strange Omnibus, which has also been enjoyable, but I feel something is missing. I can't place my finger on it, but something is just off about them. The issue with the living house from another dimension was awesome. |

I've been reading Ms. Marvel out of curiosity I gained about Kamala Khan, all I heard was 'muslim teenage girl wahwah sjwbait' but goddamn, it's just a joy to read those. Here's hoping Kamala gets a name drop in the Captain Marvel movie |
SHield came back tonight and it was a lot better than I was expecting. There were a lot of predictable moments, but for the most part, it was enjoyable. I loved the constant talk about machine movies from Mack and YoYo, especially the, "We are making him watch every Terminator movie. 'Even Salvation?' He brought this onto himself." Oh man that was hilarious. I also got a kick out of how Mack said that earlier in the episode and then YoYo repeats it when he tells her what is happening. Radcliff's little twist at the end was fine, but come on Coulson, YOU CAN'T BE THAT DUMB!!
The stuff dealing with the brother was so boring. The Inhumans are just not interesting and the WatchDOGs are wasted on this plot. I was so happy when they brough them into this universe, but they are doing nothing with them. UGH! With that said, I might as well continue to watch it each week until iZombie returns since it's going to be a while before that show is back on the air. |

Nice trailer. I'm kind of excited for Logan. I haven't been excited for an X-Men related film since the first one. I do wish they'd move on from all that obviously wire-assisted jumping, but if that's my only complaint I expect I will be pleased walking out of the theatre.

I finished Amazing Spider-Man Omnibus Volume 1 last night and overall it was... amazing. :lol
The stories were well written and a blast to look at. My favorite panel in the book is probably the one towards the end in the return of the Molten Man issue where Spidey is in MM's room with the lights out. The way that panel is drawn and colored is so bad ass. Nevertheless, there was a lot of great artwork to be found here and it was interesting to finally read the issue with the infamous flooding scene. That was kind of cool how the panels kept getting bigger and bigger as the struggle progressed. I'm not sure which story I would say is my favorite though, as there are a lot ot choose from. It would probably be a toss up between the Annual that introduces the Sinister Six, the "Master Planner" trilogy (as they called it in the essays), and the 3 parter where Peter gave up being Spider-Man for the first time Aunt May was sick (17-19 I believe). Another thing I love is how the identity of Green Goblin has yet to be revealed and that Norman was not even introduced officially until like issue 37 despite seeing him at Jameson's country club. I wonder if Stan Lee thought of Norman beforehand or if he just decided to make him GG on the fly. Either way, it was cleverly done. The only issues I didn't really enjoy were the one with Mysterio pretending to be a psychologist and the one with a guy who gets his powers frm a meteor. Not only that, but he called himself The Looter. :banghead: It's kind of sad that Ditko is gone from this point, but that's okay because Romita was a great successor (and my favorite Spider-Man artist from the issues I read years ago), so I'm looking forward to this. Getting to read this many issues in order is so enjoyable. |
I am really liking the new costumes for X-Men Blue.

So apparentely Legends of Tomorrow is on at the same time as this now (didn't know they were changing its day), but I chose to watch this instead since Shield has been superior to Legends. Tonight's episode was no different. I am quite shocked at how good this season has been. It was quite obvious May was stuck in the "Matrix," but it was still cool to watch it in action. It's weird though because there really wasn't any action in this episode per say, but it was a really great character building and plot moving one. It's kind of nice to have something like that at times, especially when it ends up being well written. The discussion between Mace and Sky was done well too.

Seems like Marvel is partnering up with Square Enix to do a multi spanning game version of the MCU:

Lol knew "Marvel in Kingdom Hearts" was too good to be true.
But this sounds cool too. Been a while since I played a Marvel video game (mobile aside), so looking forward to seeing more. Edit: Oh. But apparently that won't happen for literally at least a year per the video description on YouTube. "More details will be announced in 2018." Typically fuckin Square... |
I hope it's good.

Some great moments of hilarity in Shield tonight, but overall, this episode was kind of weak. It was quite predictable and I feel like the plot is taking a massive slow down. Is this arc really going to be able to last another 10 episodes? I feel like next week is going to be the climax.

Hulu huh? Too bad I'll just have to wait for it to get a BD release to watch it.

We decided to give X-Men Apocalypse a second try today and took it out of the library. Nope, still sucks. The stuff with Stryker is absolutely pointless and takes away from Apocalypse, who receives absolutely no character development whatsoever. Archangel sucks ass. Psylocke sucks ass and is not even British. Storm is left underdeveloped once again. Nobody looks like they have aged at all even though it's supposed to be 20 years after First Class. Scott and Alex's dad is not Corsair and their mom is alive (not to mention they don't look old enough to have a near 40 year old kid). Scott and gang going to the mall was pointless. Not to mention they specifically say the third movie always sucks. which guess what movie? THAT APPLIES TO YOU TOO!!!! Take out Magneto's daughter and wife and it is X3 all over again. Jennifer Lawrence also phoned her entire performance in. I still hate the fact that Stryker had the gang in a room that nulls out their mutant powers but she is still able to stay in Jennifer Lawrence form. The worst part though is that Apocalypse is not even remotely intimidating. Hell, he is shorter than some of his own Horsemen and I'm supposed to believe he is some god? Gerald Butler in Gods of Egypt was more of a god than Apocalypse. I could go on forever with how piss poor this movie is, but I've already wasted 5 hours on this piece of shit film. Forget what I said back in May, Batman vs Superman was better than this garbage dump. I give it a 5/10.
