World destruction, insane death rate, the entire movie is just awesome. Aggravating as hell that I just met the characters and all but one die. But still a good movie. Lol!

A bad figure? Siege Megatron is one of the better figures I've seen of Megatron in a long time! Proportions, articulation, accessories and a fun transformation. I mean, it's no Masterpiece but the affordable price (relatively speaking, evrn when it was too high for my liking) balances it out nicely.

Of corurse if people are complaining about the faux-scuff marks then that's their problem.

I'm gonna be real. Siege Megatron, along with ER Hoist are two figures that I just can't get past how much I dislike.
Every couple of months, I grab one of them and fiddle with them, trying to enjoy them, but I just find myself more and more disappointed. I literally have Siege Megs at my desk, but every time I try and see the positives everyone points out, there's always something about it that irks me.

My biggest issue with Megatron is his head doesn't lock in place.

Posting here instead of the Godzilla vs Kong thread to avoid possible spoilers. So maybe it's just where I live, the theaters might be limiting people and filling the screenings faster because of it, but I probably won't be able to see it until Easter Sunday at the earliest, that and having to find time to see it since the only showings aren't the most convenient for me. Again, trying to avoid spoilers, so I've been staying away from all Godzilla related content (though the Singular Point trailer was an exception).

Other than that, I'm looking forward to the Kamen Rider reveals this week! And working on a three generations pioneers illustration for the 50th Anniversary, which might not be finished until much later...

I was eating out at a restaurant earlier today and some chilli oil splashed over my phone. Unfortunately it turns out that oil counts as moisture or something according to my phone. Bottom line? My phone won't charge now even though I'm 85% sure I managed to wipe and brush out the oil out of the charging socket, even with my dad's help. So now it's stuck under rice to hopefully 'cure' it or something overnight.

If the phone really is a lost cause my dad said he'll give me his old phone, the same model as my phone, which is great and all but I really wished this whole thing didn't happen.

EDIT: Oh, and while I'm wailing on about this predicament of mine, anyone have any good suggestions how to deal with this? We tried alcohol, hairdryers, cotton swabs, etc.

The surface tension of oil is lower than water so most of the tricks you'll find about saving a phone from water damage won't work.

The IP/moisture rating for phones is largely based on water. Oil damage is much more severe. In my opinion, your best bet at the end of the day is to open to phone and clean it with alcohol or non-conductive oil remover.

Good news everyone! My phone is back up and running again after sticking it in rice overnight. Of course, it helped that my daad scrubbed the port with alcohol as well. At least I don't have to worry about transferring passwords and apps anymore.

If anything I should make a backup in case something like this ever happens again.

First, it's great to hear that you're staying on top of your coursework! As someone who did terribly in school, I'm always envious of those who can stick with it.

My day's been pretty random. Some Den-O, some work-from-home, some cleaning, some collaborative projects, some reading. Not a really dynamic day or anything, but some fun stuff. Next is dinner (whenever it shows up) and then I'll maybe try out that Snyder Cut and see if it's possible for me to watch the whole thing.

Well, an update to my computer made it unable to use wifi anymore, but otherwise, I'm doing pretty good. I don't have The Virus anymore, which is nice. Other than that, I don't really have anything going on right now. Besides college, I guess.

Nothing much, catching up to all of the shows that have been pouring out, like Anime, and the Kamen Rider episodes they've been putting up on YouTube, some more digital art practice, brainstorming ideas, and playing Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter Rise. All while trying to deal with return of allergy season, and roasting in the night. All in all, just an ordinary day.

So, when someone asks us at the store how a book is, we never like to say something's bad. Art's subjective, and something not working is often just as subjective. (Good things just get praised straight up, OH MY GOD YOU'VE GOT TO READ THIS, that sort of thing. It's maybe a double-standard!) Maybe a book is in a genre you don't like. Maybe you didn't get a heads-up about some important element ahead of time and it threw you for a loop. Maybe you just read it in a bad mood. Whatever. So we don't like saying something's bad; instead, we say It Wasn't For Me.

The Snyder Cut isn't for me.

I've only done the first part so far, and I'm sure I'll get to the rest soon enough, but I needed to stop watching it for tonight. It's just about zero percent what I like about movies, comics, comic movies, DC characters, these actors, etc. The design document is just the word Mythic in a 72-point font. It's unrelentingly somber; every color desaturated, every musical cue mournful, grey skies as far as the eye can see. Everyone's sad, all the time.

But, like, working as intended. It's a movie that opens with Superman dying painfully for about five straight minutes, so it is not being coy about its intentions. I feel like everyone in the world who's seen Batman Vs Superman already knows if they're going to like the Snyder Cut, since it's just that but more. Same tone, same cast, same thesis statement (The Gods Suffer For Our Sins, same thesis statement as every Snyder movie), just for four hours.

Much like Darkseid, it transcends ideas like Good or Bad. It exists. That's all you need to know about its qualities. The Snyder Cut Is.

It's okay to take it slow! Better to keep things achievable than risk burning yourself out. There's always more time for school.

I was mostly just reading news stories (the Washington Post) and random blog posts (some guy on Kotaku does not like the snipers in Outriders). Nothing of substance.

Fearless, that Rider-inspired graphic novel, is due out the first week of May. It's getting mostly positive reviews so far!

Hey, I just started playing regular Monster Hunter! Everyone was talking about Rise, and I've got the regular version for free on PlayStation, so I thought I'd fire it up. The combat is a blast, super-addictive, but I don't feel like I've got a grasp on the non-combat parts of the gameplay loop. Still, enjoyable so far.

It pains me to say this. . . it really does . . . .

No matter how good it looks and sounds . . . . do not watch The World Ends With You anime . . . . .

It is sadly a rush job . . . . they did three days in one episode . . .
