The shoulder armor, while intelligently designed to recede into the shoulders, is way too close. Brand new in the box mine had pieces of it chipped away from being moved ever so slightly during shipping. They just flaked right off. Not to mention that because of the size of the shoulders you lose a lot of posability. I love the figure and think it looks gorgeous. But Burning has some serious issues. |
Man, I need Burning and Shining Agito, and I've never even seen the show. They're great looks.
Somebody trade them to me, yes? |

Plan on buying a figuart tomorrow, though I can't decide on which one. It's between 1 (Sakurajima), Abyss, and Cyclone Joker.
|
Not an easy decision. Based on what I've seen people post around the old internet, Abyss is the better figure but getting any form of Ichigo would be awesome. Cyclone/Joker has the advantage of being pretty inexpensive and it's W, even if the figure isn't perfect.

I might just pick up Shining. Hopefully it has no issues.

"Nitpick." :rolleyes CycloneJoker is woefully outdated, inaccurate, and has weak accesories. Everytime I pick him up I just feel bad at how poor a representation of W it is. He doesn't even have a pointing hand. The hips are the old Figuarts hips at their worst, with the big cut in the suit that looks awful in anything but a straight legged pose. The Cyclone side joints are black and ugly, the colours aren't right, the forehead crest is easily twice the size it should be, and the ab crunch is non-existant. They didn't even get the size and shape of the eyes right.

I have never understood the inaccurate argument, he looks fine to me.
Outdated? I'm not sure I understand that. It's a different body than say Ryuki, but it has the same joints as every other KR Figuarts I own, and each different series has a different base body. Some are better than others. Weak accessories? Ehhhh, maybe. He's got plenty of hands, it might have been nice to get a gadget memory or two with it, but those came with the 2 packs. What really would hvae been nice is some cyclone effects, but Bandai wasn't doing effects, either with figures or as standalone sets, when they did the W figures. Now, I'm not saying I wouldn't buy a version 2.0 of the figure, but I just cannot agree with the 'woefully outdated, inaccurate" comment, though there are those that do. Bottom line is, get whichever figure you are most interested in. Of the two I have, Abyss is clearly superior to CJ, but CJ is a much more favored character of mine, so I was more excited to get that one than Abyss. Abyss was just a pleasant surprise at how fun he is. If you're a fan of Kamen Rider W, then I think you need CycloneJoker. |

Guess what the Figuart cannot? Hell, he comes with TWO sets of open hands that don't respresent any sort of specific pose and are barely different from eachother. I never understood that. Quote:
W needs an update to bring him up to current Figuarts standards. The old one just doesn't. |
