I just finished Henneko. That was a really mediocre show. At least it felt tongue-in-cheek. I don't think I'd be able to survive that much ecchi if it were serious. Such is the case with Eiken.

However, it was worth it if only for Baby Sweet Berry Love. Greatest track ever devised by any human ever.

Gurren Lagann episode 17:

What the heck Rossiu? When did you become a jerk? The Anti-spirals showed up. Well...time to start throwing planets. It was interesting to see how humanity is now thriving on the surface, and how there are people who would rather live underground. I hate how they're all like "These robots are better...your old Gunmen would never work" Really? because last time I checked Super Robots > Real Robots.

Yeah, that's the point where Rossiu to me was dead and then replaced by some uptight bastard.

So I watched the first episode of Genshiken... kind of puts my obsessions in perspective.

Macross episode 18:

Well...Roy died. It was sad, but he didn't do much until this episode. I think that, if he had done more, then it would've left more of an emotional impact, like Kamina's. I knew beforehand that he died in this episode, so maybe that's why it didn't really hit me. I was just laughing at Max and Miria's fight, since I know they get married later. It's like...I don't know...I just thought it was kind of funny.

So far D.Grey-man is a good anime. i have no complaints.... yet. I'm only on episode 8 any way so i have a ways to go.

So now that Valvrave is on hiatus, perfect time for me to get caught up on Danball Senki Wars.

There is A LOT of exposition to sit through in the first couple of episodes, but the over all feel of the series I find is a little different from the first two seasons. Battles feel more intense, as they should; they are going through war simulations after all. I also like that Arata and crew didn't get their signature LBXs right away. They all used generic grunt suits up until episode 3.

Danball Senki Wars also feels way more like a mecha anime now. I don't know if I like it as much as the first two series so we'll see how I feel once I get completely caught up. So far so good though.
