It also might make sense production wise. All the gear used on the show would be in better condition then that used years ago. Power Rangers adapting the next Sentai was a case of convenience/inconvenience.

I honestly have no interest in the 5 pack, I only have red cause I wanted a Gingared figure and only interested in blue cause he goes for super cheap. what I want is distribution in my area to be better cause I can never find any of these in stores

And you can view it like that. But it's a godsend for those that missed out on the initial selling of Red and Blue. I only just recently found a Blue Psycho in my area right before hearing about this pack deal. And yes, I bought it. But I'm still going to buy the team pack.

You obviously aren’t familiar with Hasbro’s methods. Like a lot of recent Toku shows with the suits, they’ll reuse a mold as many times as they want until they make enough money off it to make new ones. Thereve been at least 8 releases of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Cyberverse Sinnertwin.

That's different though, those are redecos as different characters. It's not 8 releases of the exact same figure

Re-releases are fine since collectors can skip them if they don't want them. If you bought Siege Astrotrain, you don't have to buy Earthrise Astrotrain. You're not missing anything.

The big problem here is that Psycho Red was part of two multipacks that included entirely different characters (essential ones at that) and are coming out barely a year apart (depending on when this thing hits shelves).

My other thought is that perhaps this was intended to be the SDCC exclusive? But it'd still be shitty if this was the only way to get the other Psychos unless they've planned for single releases later on down the line. But they need to communicate that with us.

That's not the same thing though. I don't have a problem with them reusing molds; Hell, the Psycho Rangers are identical outside of the colours. Now Marvel Legends making people buy figures no one wants for the Build-A-Figure parts and then releasing the Build-A-Figure separately 6 months later is a better example.
