Of course they look worse compared to the figuarts. The figuarts team has a higher budget, more time, less restrictive safety standards (due to being meant for adult collectors rather than children) and don't have to incorporate arms changing as a functional gimmick. It's a lot easier to make figures look good when you don't have to find a way to make the toy work like a show where the armour pieces magically shrink once they attach and solid mango/lemon segments turn into a soft cape.

I see that it once again strikes that the obvious must be clearly outlined in your post, or that small fraction of a much wider message will be the thing they focus on.

Yes the AC line is budget, the SHF is collector but for the longest amount of time I felt the AC were great stand ins for the Figuarts, much better than say...an Armoured Mighty placed next to an SHF Zyuranger but Triumphant is the first AC, in my opinion, that looks downright bad since Mango Arms. And with the likes of SHF Shin, it looks like future Gaim SHFs are gonna end up doing the suits more justice than the show.

I'm really starting to want some of those 66 Action Riders.

I'd been splitting them with a friend. Now I had to guiltily tell him that he could pay less but wouldn't be getting a Kabuto. Kinda wish it'd been 2 Ws, 2 Kabutos and then 1 Dark Kabuto if it had to be uneven.

Yeah, but no one was buying my complete wave 1 set anyway. So I split it all up. They totally should've made Nigo a secret in wave 1. I'll probably make one if my spare ichigo doesn't sell. They're really cool to have and pretty cheap too. I wish the articulation was a little better, but given the size and price, I'm fine with the way they are.

Right? Or they could've been awesome and just had 2 full sets of 5. Slightly less "secret" but convenient for those who are buying up whole cases.

Even after so many AC figure releases, I think Pine/Ichigo is still one of the most fun to mess around with. It's not agitating to mess with like the energy/kachidoki figures.

Speaking personally I like him better than the Figuart. The Figuart is probably better in hand but in terms of colours, paint apps and details I find the Figma much more accurate which is why I bought him.

Ah the good old days. Back when fighting pokemon like MOTW and break dancing peacefully. Before all the bloodshed and betrayal and tears set in.

I might be in the minority here, but I've been kind of disappointed with the past few AC releases. I love the designs of the energy and kachidoki arms but the sonic arrow and dj gun are so annoying to deal with I don't have fun messing with them anymore. Kachidoki looks so good yet the DJ gun is so aggravating...
