Vegeta is fine, but Kai( I assume we're talking about King Kai) sounds bored half of the time.

Also when did Pilaf and co turn into children? Is that something that's ever explained? Cause I find the fact that Mai is so young looking a bit distracting.

Pilaf wish themselves younger with the Dragon Balls off screen. It was likely sometime after Buu and before Super.

Nah, I find Vegeta off. He just doesn't match up with the way his voice sounded in Z.

Kai's actor sounds bored because he can no longer pull off how energetic Kai is supposed to be. Kai's actions do not match his voice tone.

They talked about it in Battle of Gods, but we are never shown it. I really think Super missed out on this opportunity as they should have actually shown it happen.

Joji Yanami is a old guy since he has been voice acting since the 60's. The guy has been sick a lot of lately, so I'm surprise that he is still with us today. Naoki Tatsuta has taken over the voice of King Kai in Super now.

They just randomly replaced his old voice actor now? They should have done that before the show even started.

I doubt the Japanese fans would have liked that since he is a iconic voice actor in Japan.

Frankly, you need to go with what sounds better and sometimes while it sucks, recasting is the best action. No one complained when they changed the entire Sailor Moon voice cast for Crystal outside of Usagi (who also should have been recast since Kotono no longer sounds like a 14 year old girl.
