Yeah I think I got lucky, I just picked up whatever brand was at my local convenience store. The brand is called "pop-arazzi" and I've used it on various toys and figures (mostly to add shine to the compound eyes of vinyl figures) without any issue other than a lingering strong smell when you first apply it.

Note that this is the clear bottle labeled "Clearly Thinking Nail Polish" and not the other clear bottle labeled "3-in-1 Treatment One Step Prep". I think people using things like the latter that look like clear nail polish is where they run into problems.

All right, thanks. I'll try looking into it a bit more to see if I can find the harmful substance so I know what to look out for on the labels.

Brand shouldn't matter, from my experience. I use SO much clear nail polish because of SO-DO figures. None of it has directly damaged my plastic as long as I applied it properly. I HIGHLY recommend getting the rapid-drying ones, which are a dollar at your convenience store. I'd say it's absolutely required - you don't want the nail polish to drip before it actually solidifies.

The big thing you need to keep in mind is to NEVER brush the nail polish on - you drip it. Pretend they're eye drops(don't actually put them in your eyes though lol). The reason for this is that brushing/swiping nail polish onto the surface of a sticker will absolutely ruin it. If you mess up, DOUBLE DOWN, apply more nail polish - just make sure you never brush. Once you've got it down, it won't even feel like a sticker anymore, which is so awesome.

I've used 4 different brands of clear nail polish and none of them have directly damaged anything I collect, which includes RKF, SHF, Gunpla, and SO-DO.

Should I do this just over the sticker or go over the edge a little?

You definitely want to cover the edges. Give it a day to completely dry, and if you can still feel the sticker's edges, do it again.

Wait... really? I've been using the brush that came with this bottle, with almost no issues aside from some minor scrapes on OOO So-Do that were due to me touching it after brushing.

You can apply it with a paint brush if you have paint brush with thin and soft bristles. It's just that the one that usually comes with the nail polish is too rough.

As I can't get my hands on nail polish, could I use mod podge? It would probably not be as quality but it should work?
