My TRU always has figures instock. Hell, they just restocked their entire Transformers shelves, which were picked clean back at Xmas time. They had them fully restocked and filled up to the max by the second week of January.

They got 25 of those NECA Batmans in. They've restocked their Alien pegs and Godzilla pegs several times.

I've never seen a single NECA figure at TRU in my life. In fact the only place I ever saw them was at Zellers.

I'm not even sure if my Country got the Blu-Ray Batman, let alone any TRU I've ever been to.

I don't know where in Canada you are but TRU is still going strong in southern Ontario.
As far as stocking shelves go? It's a crapshoot, really. The local TRU here is pretty good (there's always a strong Legacy presence in the PR section), as is one of the Wal-Marts. The other Wal-Mart though? Both the Transformers and PR sections are bare. You cannot say it's as simple as one chain being better then the other. It almost seems like it comes down to the individual stores.

So much this. There's so much variation, it's not even funny. There are several Walmarts within a 10-15 minute drive for me. And none of them are stocked the same. I mostly pick up things from the TRU I work at. Our shelves are stocked quite nicely. And in a relatively timely manner.

Distribution-wise, Texas seems to get the short end of the stick. I feel like everything hits the east and west coasts first. And then trickles inward. Meaning we're last. So we get things. Just after everyone else.

Which is weird. You'd think the west coast would get stuff first and then it would trickle east. I know why that's not the case, but it still seems weird.

As for sounthern Ontario? I've never been in a situation where shelves were bare all over. There's always at least one store that was well stocked. Stocking's never been the issue here. It's distribution. Canada seems to be behind the US when it comes to that, only getting stuff first if Canadian retailers say "screw it" and ignore instructions to delay a line like they did with Transformers Animated (again, the stores themselves taking the initiative, not the chains) or in if the US distribution system is held up by, say, a dock workers' strike :D
Barring stuff like that though? We're usually a month behind wave releases, at best.
