I just discovered Friday Night Funkin' and considering my love of Parappa I am upset that none of my friends told me about this game sooner.
|
Smash Bros is unpreditcable when it comes to characters. From what I've seen, no one leaked out Sepiroth and Pyra & Mythra. The last two characters will probably be a total wild card at this rate.
|
I feel like Pyra & Mythra were inevitable, or rather Rex despite his Mii Costume inclusion.
Especially since Sakurai mentioned how much of a shame it was since Xenoblade 2 was too new. I just had a feeling that some sort of Xenoblade character was getting in. Still, nice to see the two and nice to see we've got a Zelda/Sheik situation again. |
It's been 13 years since we got a new transforming character, so I'm at least happy to see that!
|
Been curious about Xenoblade Chronicles, the first recently got ported onto the Switch so maybe I'll find time to check it out, since I've heard good things about it, and didn't Tetsuya Nomura design characters for the second?
And I've been interested in playing Smash, so I guess I ought to try some Switch games. |

I was really hoping for a Xenoblade Chronicles X port. That game was amazing and feels like a lot of people slept on it. Another Wii U victim.
|
Monolith have gone on record before saying that they probably won't port X, as it's a massive game to do so that would take a lot of time away from new projects.

What other Wii U exclusives haven't been ported yet? Paper Mario, Kirby, Yoshi, and Fatal Frame are all I can think of... |
There's very few left, yeah -- the most notable ones are themselves ports or have essentially-replacement sequels on the Switch (yoshi, splatoon, smash).

Play Station 2
Dragon Warrior VIII Final Fantasy X Final Fantasy XII Kim Possible - What's The Switch Metal Gear Solid 2 Metal Gear Solid 3 Scooby-Doo Night Of 100 Frights Scooby-Doo Unmasked Scooby-Doo Mystery Mayhem Scooby-Doo First Frights Scooby-Doo And The Spooky Swamp Play Station 3 Back To The Future Final Fantasy XIII Metal Gear Solid 4 Tekken 6 Tomb Raider Game Of The Year Version I've had both a PS 2 and 3 since December |
Digimon Re: Digitize. I actually finished this game years ago but back then I was kinda just rushing the story. So this time I'm taking things a bit more slowly and do some exploring.....though f**k that Hercules Kabuterimon in the arena. Damn thing won't die even when my Mirage Gaogamon and Phoenixmon were at max Attack.
After this I'm planning on settling an old score and play Digimon World 3. I got very far in that game as a kid but I accidentally overwritten over my save data and I had no interest in starting over |
One of these days I'm going to finish Lego Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge, once and for all. Same with Lego Rock Raiders. But right now I've still got Final Fantasy XV and XIV. I also really need to get back to Hollow Knight, Final Fantasy VIII, Monster Hunter World, and start Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories.

Play Station 2
Tomb Raider VI The Angel Of Darkness Tomb Raider VII Legend Tomb Raider VIII Underworld Play Station 3 Doctor Who The Eternity Clock Street Fighter IV Street Fighter X Tekken I opened the Fighters up on all 3 PS 2 Tekken games except one on Tekken 5. Also I just gotten Tomb Raider IX on order. This week I bought Metal Gear Solid 4. This will wait till done with Metal Gear Solid 3 on PS 2. |
I started playing Silent Hill 3 the other day...and then I bought the Quake remaster and have been playing that ever since. So I guess the two games I'm currently playing through are Quake and Silent Hill 3.

I’m playing mythology game Hades. Like all SGG creations, the game is distinguished by gorgeous visuals, a cool soundtrack authored by Darren Korb and unique mechanics. The game's plot is quite simple. The game does not have a specific genre - it is a mixture of action and slasher. There are six types of weapons, but each has four types. It is more convenient to play on the joystick, since the dynamics of the game are quite frantic. However, the difficulty of the game is not so high, sooner or later it will turn out to escape. The game has only four worlds with several rooms in each and a boss at the end, which change. In general, if you were looking for something similar, then you should not pass by. The game is really worth your attention.

I'm weirdly addicted to the Battle Network series right now.
The games and the anime were I thing while I was still in school, and I vividly remember that my best friend was really into them, but I just watched the show from time to time, I didn’t play any of the games. Mega Man itself was a foreign concept for me at the time; I only got into the classic games and some spin-offs later. But when they announced the “Battle Network Legacy Collection” recently, I was like "Huh, yeah, that was a thing back then. Maybe I should check it out. “. But I didn’t want to buy the whole collection without having even tried a single one, so I asked my friend Emu if he could borrow me the first game. And I finished that last week, great game. Interesting concept for a turn-based RPG, throwing grid-based movements with action cards into the mix, and the world it plays in is fantastic. Re-imagining the Robot Masters as digital programs that help navigate the web is genius. Especially as it clashes with the villain of the game, and how it gives way to amazing redesigns for classic characters. Plus, the setting with its high reliance on digital services has only become more relevant over time. I definitely want to play the rest now. In fact, since the collection isn’t out until sometime next year, I asked Emu for maybe one or two more of these to bridge the time until release. |
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (Play Station 3)
I used to play Ninja Gaiden on the NES. I was playing Tomb Raider VII Legend on Play Station 2 but am stuck on Level 3 Japan where you have to shoot the bolts holding up the TV. Craziest Tomb Raider level ever. |
So I upgraded to PS+ Extra last night and have been playing Stray. So far it's pretty cute, but it doesn't seem like there's much depth to it.
edit: I was right before the part where the game kicked into gear. We're talking like...5 minutes of play time away. I'm enjoying it a lot more now. Quote:

I'm also playing Final Fantasy XII on PS 2 trying to get everybody trained up for skills.
I'd love to see Ninja Gaiden Sigma 4 come out. Also want to get the next 3 Tomb Raider games. |
Finished the Mega Man Battle Network series, 1-6.
Did not think I would do it, not because I was dissatisfied or anything, but because I have a track record of not finishing videogames, let alone an entire series of them. But Battle Network had insanely fun gameplay, the right amount of retro feeling to appeal to me (love GBA games), and just in general very well executed ideas. Sure, they do drag sometimes, it is a bit "more of the same" in there, but still, I wasn't bored playing them all back-to-back. The earlier games have a few very annoying levels design-wise, to the point where I wondered how a kid was supposed to figure it out, and are fairly difficult, especially when you tackle the optional stuff. Later games introduce more ways to customize MegaMan.EXE and have more attack chips to use so you are effectively stronger by having more options which makes the games easier. Still a fun challenge though, again, especially since there is lots of optional stuff. It was really cool to visit a game series that came out when I was younger, that I knew existed, that my best friend was really into, but I never touched myself back then. Especially fun because since then I have played a lot of other Mega Man stuff which only adds to the experience. And the entire idea of turning the franchise about a robot fighting evil robots into one where network communication instead of robotics became prevalent, and thus digital beings fight each other, is so interesting to me. Kind of like an alternate, What-if? world. And the designs are so nice; love the viruses, and especially the Net Navis. The redesigned characters from the classic Mega Man series look awesome. I even bought the art book of the series to look at it again and again; the art direction is fantastic IMO. So yeah, I wanted to check out one or two of these games to see if I want to buy the collection that comes out next year, ended up playing them all instead. Will definitely get the collection though, and play the different versions of the games that have them. Highly recommended for everyone who hasn't checked out Battle Network by now to do so, I ended up becoming a huge fan. |
I just been replaying through the King of Figthers series. I finish replaying KOF2000 and I still enjoy it a lot. I do look forward to playing KOF13 because I never played that one before.

TMNT Mutant Madness Level set 8 Team Level April and Mona Lisa are a 50 with Raph , and Casey at Level 40. Rocksteady is Level 37. Dragon Warrior I - VI Dragon Warrior VII (PS 1 Mini) Dragon Warrior VIII (PS 2) Tomb Raider I - IX (PS 2) - Backward Compadabilty with PS 1 games |
Just picked up Pokemon Scarlet. I've heard the graphics and performance are awful, but it's one of the most fun Pokemon games in years. I've really lost my love for the series in recent years, so we'll see.
|
An hour or two in and I'm really enjoying it!
|
For the last few days, I have been playing Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and I already made it to Pastoria City and ready to obtain my 4th Gym Badge of the game. Have unintentionally been putting off in playing it for almost a year ever since I got this and Shining Pearl for Christmas last year and have started making it up for it.
|
Since I have both a PS 1 Mini and PS 2 I've been playing the main franchises. Picking up PS 1 games not on my blue flash drives which plug into the PS 1 for more games.
I started playing a couple of Resident Evil games. |
Just bought a PS5 (God of War bundle) and Godfall. I'm actually really excited about Godfall because part of getting a new console means mediocre launch titles with amazing graphics to go with it. I think I'll also grab Gran Turismo 7 digitally - I used to love the series as a kid, and I've heard they fixed the MXT issues, so that's cool. But I'm mostly just excited for the Resident Evil 4 and Silent Hill 2 remakes coming next year. Speaking of...

Last game I played was Digimon Survive. Still haven’t finished it. Barely started.
|
Finally picked up Resident Evil 7 after years of not buying it for some reason. This game is actually frustratingly difficult. I'm normally good at survival horror but I feel like the only way to make any progress in this one is to cheese everything.
|
Just been playing the King of Figther series. KOF13 is a masterpiece, and KOF14 is pretty good for the most part.

Jumanji - The Curse Returns
Its a mobile adaption of the board game from the 1995 movie. They added Welcome To The Jungle recently. Also may at some point in the spring finish up the Dragon Warrior games up to Dragon Warrior VIII Journey Of The Cursed King. Started Tomb Raider VII Legend and am on the South Africa level. |

Thanks. At any rate finished the first 3 levels.

So I have a question - anybody know of any dating sims that aren't just visual novels? Like, games where you actually make decisions, upgrade your stats, and go on dates to level up relationships with other characters? Most of what I've seen you're just reading about what happens and I'm not into that. I want like...the day-to-day life parts of Persona. Anything like that?
