I'm inherently biased to say Gekiranger, because all of their powers and abilities are from personal training and growth, and each new weapon they receive they still have to train to properly use. Each ranger starts off with a specialty, but the point of their training is to branch away from that signature specialty and become a well rounded warrior.
Also Rio is technically a Gekiranger because Gokai confirmed it and he's strong as fuck :lol

Oh, my mistake. I still mean what I said about being curious as to how they would handle a three man, two boys and one girl, team these days though. It feels as though Sentai's changed quite a bit since Go Busters 5 years ago.

The answer to this is much like that for superhero "who'd win?": the strongest team is whichever one the writer wants to win.

Practically, the strongest team is generally whichever is the current Sentai because that's what the Toei always wants to push. (Heck, the Kyoryugers post-transformation refer to themselves as "the strongest AND the bravest!") It's context-sensitive. For instance, the most powerful member of any Sentai is the "sixth" hero... in their first episode. (At least in terms of more recent Sentai; I've heard MegaSilver is unbalanced through the whole series.)

That's not a very satisfying answer, of course. MatrixBeast's answer isn't a bad one. You could make an argument for Kyuranger in terms of sheer numbers. The ToQgers' power was potentially only limited by their imaginations.

If you want to be super-literal and come up with a definitive answer, though, I think it'd have to be the Gokaigers, since Gokai Change lets them take on the the abilities (if not the numbers) of every other Sentai, including the ones that aired after the end of their show. Then again, that series was also inconsistent about whether they were able to use those abilities with the same skill as the original heroes whose powers they "pirated."

Well, except maybe Gorenger, who are generally given narrative deference because they were first. In short: it always depends.

I think a 3 man team would still be handled decently well. Go-Busters was noted to be a departure from typical Sentai, anyway.

Also, Gokaigers can't be the strongest Sentai because, once returning the keys, the past (And future) rangers either have to consent in giving them their powers for the keys, or they have to be stolen.
Unlike Decade, the Gokaigers' powers is dependent on the others already given up their power.

If I'm being honest, I'm a bit more curious to see who's the *weakest* Sentai team. If we were arguing that, I'd say the Zyuohger's by default. Terrible arsenal, no collectible to give them extra abilities, and there's almost nothing the none Red/Sixth members of the team can do that that Zyuoh Eagle/Zyuoh the World can't do just as well if not better.

True but this ain't Kamen Rider. There's only so much a single ranger can do to pick up the slack for the rest of team.

I dunno. 6 regular members with a 7th that participates on occasion. Yamato(Eagle) and Bird have natural flight, Yamato(Gorilla), Elephant, and The World(Rhino and Croc) have super strength, The World(Wolf) has super speed, and Shark can swim in the ground. Additionally, Yamato(Whale)'s gun is strong enough to take out a chunk of the moon. Their arsenal isn't the strongest, but a gun and sword does mean they cover the basics, and their instincts awakened form doesn't exert any energy to achieve.
The other 4 members are somewhat lacking in comparison to Yamato and Misao, but their strengths aren't negligible.

They don't have the most extraordinary arsenal or abilities, but what they displayed on a weekly basis does make for a decent argument that they're not really that weak.

They've left it wholly vague. On the one hand, we saw Gai pleading with the ToQgers for the use of their keys. On the other hand, we also saw not just newer Sentai, but Jetman, Gaoranger, and Gekiranger. You could say that the Gokaigers went back and specifically asked those teams to use their keys again, but I think the real answer is "Toei handwaved it." I haven't re-watched the final episode of Gokaiger, yet; when Captain Marvelous returns the powers of the previous 34 Super Sentai, do we see the Ranger Keys actually disappear from the chest? If not, then they presumably never stopped working.

Regardless, the Gokaigers have been able to Gokai Change in all their movie appearances following the end of their series.

The Gokaiger did return the Keys, and most every other appearance had them essentially borrowing the Keys. Goseiger used their own, and then Hurricanger took their own back mid-series, they used them then returned them for the Gokaiger to use. Again confirmed in the finale, AkaRanger transformed. Keys can be used, returned, and borrowed.

All I know is that naming one team "the weakest" is going to raise the salt levels of somebody.

I'd personally have to check on all the Power Rangers adapted seasons at the very least to see the major differences, besides Battlizers obviously.

No real idea or concept of what the team would be like or what their theme would be, just got the name so far.

If you are talking about why Ohranger was considered a failure it had to do with the fact that the 1995 series was about alien robots invading Earth and a military task force fighting back, and in March that same year, a terrorist cult known as Aum Shinrikyo released sarin nerve gas on Japanese subway cars which to the Japanese people was the deadliest attack to happen to their country since America nuked them. Along with the Great Hanshin Earthquake earlier that year, serious gripping alien invasion was not a good tone for the series to have. It would be like New York City's AMC Empire 25 having a Die Hard rescreening in October 2001. What made matters worse was the series was in a bit of a ratings slump since Fiveman so the low ratings just went lower.

The toys of all the weapons and giant robots however sold well enough that Toei was able to greenlight another series for the 20th anniversary, and decided to take the Japanese people's fear and stress of the last year and use the next show as a sort of cultural Iyashikei by making it an off-the-walls stupid parody of everything Super Sentai was, with wacky jokes and goofy scenarios involving characters who were literally using traffic safety lessons to fight off a pangalactic villainous band of bad drivers. And it was EXACTLY what the Japanese needed at the time and ratings and toy sales boomed.

Many people consider the mechas ugly but, they looks pretty cool to me.

I can't say I've ever heard a particularly vocal distain for the Ohranger mecha, but I'll take your word for it.

We just had whales and sharks in Zyuohger. Though the team probably can't think of an exciting premise or gimmicks

A full blown water team wouldn't work.
90% of the fights would take place on land since they don't have the budget to film everyone by the water all the time or to CG the rangers to look like they're fighting underwater.
It's just not feasible.

Add in that all the mechs would just fly out of the waters anyway, and you're left asking "If all the fights take place on land, and all the mechs just fly, why is it water themed?"

I'd actually love a water themed team honestly. Too bad water isn't nearly as easy to film in as land or the air.

Why the 2020's sentai will be olympic theme ?

I think the closest sea-themed Sentai is Gokaiger because Gokaiger has pirate motif despite they actually space pirate. And the most of Gokaiger opening scenes set in beach.

Sea-themed super sentai will be interesting. Maybe various naval ships can be used as mecha.

It's because the 2020 Olympics are going to be held in Japan. The whole country will be celebrating, so it's not out of the question to speculate that Toei might do something to capitalize on it.

An Olympics themed Sentai isn't gonna happen. The Olympics are so protective over their brand that I doubt Toei would fork over the cash (Or even afford it) just to use it for their Sentai.
The Olympics wouldn't see it as free promotion. They'd see it as stealing their likeness.

A sports themed Sentai might happen in 2020, but explicitly Olympics? Nope.
(And they guard their 5 ring logo like crazy, so don't expect to see that, either)

A Sports Team Sentai based on Sports could be cool. Have the Red Ranger be Baseball since Baseball is very popular over in Japan the last time I check.
