Hooray for Mewtwo getting into the game some way, boo for me having to go out and buy a copy faster than I can probably afford the console (which I already had to do for the soundtrack I guess, but still)

I'm sure Mewtwo will be available to everyone without both eventually at a price. This is Nintendo. For some reason people act like they're not the biggest money-grabbers in the business, but they're quite literally the worst. There's no way they're not going to wait a bit, get whoever they can to buy both consoles and then, when nobody's buying them any more, release Mewtwo so everyone who hadn't bought both can give them money too. I'm getting him free, but I still think the whole thing is a tool move on their part.

Speaking of money-grabbing, has anyone noticed how crap Amiibos are? Like, they're literally the crappiest thing ever. They offer absolutely nothing more interesting or more fun then just adding a Lvl 9 COM to your battle, its just they cost you $15 a pop so the people brain-dead enough to think "Oh! Wow! A COM restricted to a single character that increases its AI by playing against it!" can further empty their pockets into Nintendo's. Such a waste of money and time that you just know will soon become an integral part of Nintendo's business.

I was assuming that the stupid COM gimmick wasn't the only thing those pieces of plastic had to offer, that there was some great secret that was yet to be revealed. But nope. That's it. Its a single character COM that slowly increases its AI and stats (like those Customs! Such new!) that you can take to your friends' houses for whatever reason.

Oh! But as the Direct proudly announced, you can put two Amiibo COMs in a fight and watch them battle yourself! Whoopee.

And the worst part is I'm probably dumb enough to impulse buy one. Ugh.

Oh I fully expect him to be available to everyone at some point, it's just annoying because I planned to get both copies of the game at some stage, but just not sure whether I'll be able to buy a wii u before whatever the cut off date is (which for the CD's case is mid Jan anyway). So I have the choice of rushing out to buy a game I can't play yet to get Mewtwo for free, or waiting and then having to pay for Mewtwo despite owning both versions of the game.

Timed offers like this are bullshit, if Nintendo want to do it for people who buy both copies of the game it should be permanently available to people who buy both copies. Oh well.

And you have to buy them new... Assuming the ones you get used already had their codes used and registered. More money directly to them.

Finally got the game today, holy crap this game has so much, I cant decide what to play. :lol

I'm sad that i won't be able to play as Mewtwo on my copy of the 3DS version... Well i can always play as him in the WiiU version.
