I found the first episode of Jungle Fury, watching that.

No, they never got to use it :( Such a waste especially since they went to the lengths to design them Shogun suits.

The Shogun Mode itself was a waste of Budget. They only used it at all inside the Megazords, and the one time they used it outside of battle it was used for all of one minute and forty seconds of footage.

So much for the hope of the entire team getting a Battilizer :/

Okay over the next few months I will be watching Operation Overdrive to see if Haters Gonna Hate or if it's actually an underrated gem. And we're starting out with the two part opener, 'Kick In To Overdrive!'.

And I loved it... after watching so much Kamen Rider, which is really drama focused and usually has pretty small budgets, going to something this epic and action packed is a treat. It was especially enjoyable to see the Rangers save the day, as well as fight monsters, it made them feel more like real superheroes. Plus the designs of the two brothers is rockin' and even the Megazord stuff was good.

And it isn't like the stuff outside the action was bad, the acting was good (the chemistry between the team especially), I also really liked how they mixed up the team roles with Blue being the comic relief, Pink being the genius, Ronny was able to be 'the other girl' without being just 'the other girl' as she had an actual personality, and one that isn't defined completely by her gender, Will makes for a really great right hand man to Mack and the story was set up well, with the footage very well integrated.

I have to ask though, why did Hartford pick them if he then goes ahead and scrambles their DNA, anyway? Doesn't that mean he could have just used anyone? I also have to ask, is if Mack was an android all along, how does anything in these episodes make sense?

So I'm guessing it's all downhill from here, then?

iirc he picked them for their skills. not sure how a cat burglar skill would be needed or a stuntman unless it makes him toigher and better for being thrown around as a ranger but nonetheless
