So I have the answer concerning the "licensing issues" with Japanese Star Wars toys from HLJ. Only model kits are affected.

I specifically asked for the SHF's to which they replied:

"At this time, only kits are affected, not figures."

They also uploaded a video to their YouTube-Channel where they mention that they only take the model kits down, not any other Star Wars-products from Japan.

And if retailers don't know about it yet, I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem in the near future. If Disney/Hasbro would want every Japanese Star Wars product gone from the international market they would've done it by now.

Looks like Bluefin has got news of the cancelled Amazon pre-orders and are looking into it:

As far as I'm aware, "cancelled preorders" is just Gohan. There's still delisting and just not listing the other items.

I must admit, I was amazed myself. I asked them on Facebook if they were still doing Figuarts because I've had several orders canceled now and so has a couple of friends. One had his Sailor Pluto order canceled, another was I believe a Digimon figure, while my Try Chaser and Dusty Godzilla 64 were canceled in addition to Gohan.

Oh! So it has gotten worse. Dang.

Both look nice IMO. But I prefer the metallic looking one better. Granted it's cape doesn't move, but the metallic sheen looks better to me.

I agree with the metallic sheen. I think he would have matched much better with Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon if they had kept the metallic paint for the new figure. I'll probably still get the new since I don't have the D-arts one anyways unless the D-arts version comes down in price.

Also, I got my Gohan pre-order with Amazon cancelled as well. :( At least I got a delivery date for Metalgarurumon now.

The new sculpt is hit and miss with me, but I do like it a ton, and the lack of metallic paint makes it feel like it's right out of the anime.

Same. I think Thor looks better with the armored look on his arms. What issues did you have with the Figma Thor? Mine was pretty good, not issues that I can recall. I do like the cloth cape as well and if Bandai continues to make cloth capes for future figuarts, I hope they include those claws for posing as well. Bandai make it a standard!

According to Tag Hobby the next figure in the Star Wars-line is the Shadow Trooper. Should be a simple black repaint of the existing Stormtrooper.

From what I understand it's also going to be exclusively available at the Tamashii Nations 2015 event.

Personally glad that the first Star Wars exclusive is also the first release I truly don't want. :lol

Hope we see some cool stuff at the event itself though.

I'll try to get it some day, but much like the Black Iron Man, I'll wait until it's 4000 Y on Mandarake. Not going ot go out of my way for a Figuarts Shadow Stormtrooper, now matter how awesome it's going to be.

Well, one, his face is not as stable as I'd like. Feels like it'll fall off over a short amount of time or over a few uses. Second, the cape. Just watch a few YouTube reviews to see that not only did they not QC the capes assembly to the figure, but the fabric is cheap, and tears easily. The fabric near the peg holes started to tear struggling to assemble the cape. And not a big fan of Figmas wrist peg system. Although, I think I heard that Bandai is using the same Mjollner type as Figma, where the head separates to peg into Thor's hands. Still, I'm holding on to my Figma Thor. He's my favorite Marvel hero.

I'm also surprised we haven't seen any Precure Tamashii Nations exclusives yet. I'm guessing the popularity/draw isn't there, but Cure Heart's Parthenon mode was one of the highest voted results in that poll a while back and I very much doubt it'll ever be released. Seems like it could have been an obvious repaint for something like this.

10/10 would preorder. she look gorgeous, I never liked stormtrooper design, based on it's colours and how it looks plastic, but this...
with the tall heights, colours and details, it oozes characters like no stormtrooper can. I hope her character in the movie is also a badass or at the very least a threatening villain.

I agree. I do like Stormtrooper armor, but I limit myself to buying actual characters in armor and not just random soldiers.

And I do believe Phasma will take the military part Vader had in Episode IV - VI, commanding the troops of the First Order. They also took an actress who already plays a badass female character in another franchise and the armor gives me certain Boba Fett-vibes, so I doubt I'll hate the character once the movie comes around.

Is the Star Wars line the fastest expanding line that Bandai has done from announcement to pre-order to release. It all seems so fast to me. Lol. I don't follow Star Wars so I haven't really kept track of them all so that's how it seems to me. Haha
