Doctor Who - Lost In Time
It's good to see some one off special guest companions become part of the main story. Red Dwarf XII - The Game A runner game with a combined 50 from Series XI and XII. |
I'm playing through Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for the first time in the last 15 years. The game is still a lot of fun and I played a ton of it on my 360 back when I was in High School.

Claso of Clans.
I love this game |
Tomb Raider (Play Station 2 Era)
Legend Trilogy Legend Anniversary Under World Final Fantasy (Play Station 1 Era) Final Fantasy IX Final Fantasy (Play Station 2 Era) Final Fantasy X Final Fantasy XII |
I watched 3 levels of Legend GBA Version on YouTube and I was half
laughing my anus off at how cartoony a PS 2 game looked in the whole. It looked more like a Double Dragon game or something. |
Took a refresher for Tomb Raider I from my PC run before finishing the game to remember where I was at. Resuming on PS 2 to finish the game.
I played the game 23 years ago on a friend's computer. |
Final Fantasy IX
Having played Disk 1 on PS Mini to gage where I need to be level wise will finish the game on my Play Station 2. |
I picked up Murder House last night and I gotta say...holy crap. This game is incredibly tense and just oozes atmosphere. The gameplay is such classic style survival horror, and I love how perfectly it captures the feel of low budget 80s slasher movies. It's also short enough to be played in a day, which is a positive for me because sometimes I just want something for the moment instead of dedicating myself to a longer experience.
Highly recommended for fans of old school Silent Hill and Resident evil or Friday the 13th, Prom Night, etc. |
Dragon Warrior VIII - Journey Of The Cursed King (PS2)
Having played the main line games on PS2 I wanted to that I missed I had wanted to finish this. Backwards tested Final Fantasy IX and will be playing Tomb Raider I - IX on PS 2 before starting the Survivor Trilogy on PC at some point. |
Dragon Warrior VIII - Journey Of The Cursed King
Trying to locate the magic mirror. ***** Final Fantasy XII Trying to max out my abilities before I finish and max out equipment. Also may need to level. I want to fill everything out before I get to "The point of no return". ******** Tekken 1 - Tekken 3 Via Arcade History in Tekken 5 Will use the dip switch trick to open up all the extra stuff. **** Kim Possible - What's The Switch (PS2) Mega Man 1 - 8 (PS2) Mega Man X1 - X6 (PS2) Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (PS3) Power Rangers Super Legends (PS2) Scooby-Doo - Night Of 1000 Frights (PS2) Will play Mega Man 9 - 11 at some point on PS4. Need to replace my HD on my PS3. I need a new memory card for my PS2 to move games over I've finished or nearly finished. |
Play Station 1
Castle Vainia - Symphony Of The Night Castle Vainia Dragon Warrior VII Final Fantasy IV Final Fantasy V Mega Man 8 Mega Man X4 Mega Man X5 Mega Man X6 Mega Man Legends Mega Man Legends 2 Metal Gear Solid Power Rangers - Lightspeed Rescue (Completed) Power Rangers - Time Force Scooby-Doo And The Cyber Chase Street Fighter - The Movie (Live Film Version Game) Syphon Filter Syphon Filter 2 Syphon Filter 3 Tekken Tekken 2 Tekken 3 Xena - Warrior Princess Play Statoin 2 Dragon Warrior VIII - Journey Of The Cursed King Final Fantasy X Final Fantasy XII I have a Play Station Classic Mini picked up from Dollar General during COVID. I bought the flash drives for it on Ebay. Finishing a few games on PS 2. I had a PS1 at the house but the disk tray broke so The PS Mini is a replacement. I was looking at the Atari and Sega minis but neither warrented enough to buy it. With the PS1 mini I was able to finish games I missed. |
Doing a Handgun/Knife run in RE4R.
Gotta say that the Matilda's an absolute beast of a gun once you don't have to worry about ammo. Still use the Blacktail for most encounters but when you've gotta make a hole in a horde, look to no further. |
I've been a Resident Evil fan for YEARS (I was first introduced around 2001 or so, but became a huge fan when I played the first remake in 2007) and am just now getting around to playing RE5 :lol I just never had anybody to play it with. I remember the game being poorly-received upon release due to the heavy action focus, but I'm having a blast and it's much easier to accept this direction now that the series has really figured itself out.

(And infinite ammo Matilda turns Ganados into paint) |
Okay so I'm about 2/3rds through the Castle section and it just occurred to me, I really hope shooting the cannon at the armored Gigante on the ramparts doesn't count against the run xD

I've known Resident Evil since it began, only played the original trilogy but followed it ever since, and watched playthroughs and or lets plays of the lot of them.
Always remember those first years, the articles or features in the magazines then. The original trilogy remains what I consider proper Resi, the direction they went in afterwards just never matched it for me. Horror with action elements was how it should have remained. It kind of became the complete opposite, becoming action with horror elements, and though each of the games since has been good they did lose something along the way. The one single game that defines the series for me is the remake of the original, and the original version of it not the high def remaster. Resident Evil Remake was and remains my absolute favourite entry in this entire series, I absolutely consider that to be the definitive Resident Evil experience. |
I picked up PSVR2 from a Black Friday sale. Once I finish 5, I can't WAIT to play 8 in VR :D
|
Got to the island. Met the Regeneradors.
The Combat Knife is more effective than any of the handguns :lolol Quote:

@Topic: I actually played through the entire MegaMan X series recently. The original on the SNES from 1993 is one of my favorite games ever, but I never played the rest until now. And well, it’s a journey. The first game is a masterpiece, 2 and 3 truck behind it, lovable but never quire reaching the heights of the original, then comes 4 and brings in a new spark of brilliance with a new system as it was first on the Playstation. Really nice graphics, fully animated video cutscenes (with a lovably bad, cheesy dub) gameplay as fun as the OG and basically two different campaigns to choose from. After that I was hyped. 4 more games to play, what could go wrong? And oh boy, did things go wrong. X5 and X6 are horrible. Some of the worst games I’ve ever played. I have no idea how they screwed those up so badly. They are actively designed to annoy the player, just a pain to play. Which is baffling sine they already had the formula figured out by then, but instead of building on top of it they seemingly wanted to invent a catastrophe in order to forcefully end the series. Twice. Then comes X7 which also sucks, it’s the first "3D" game on the PS2 in the series, and it's a wonky mess. But, unlike the two before, somehow playable, you can have fun with this. You can laugh at how bad it is. Lastly, X8, and that one's actually really good. Still 3D in style but the gameplay is 2D again. And you have a solid MegaMan game here. Kind of cool actually. You can appreciate what new things they brought to the table; it's a genuinely well made game. So if I had to rank these in order from best to worst: X X4 X8 X2 X3 X7 X5 X6 The series is sold in two packages nowadays as a "Legacy Collection", Part 1 includes games X-X4 and Part 2 comes with X5-X8. Part 1 is a must have, has the two best games in the series and the other two are nice for the SNES-nostalgia alone. Part 2 - just don't. If you get it for dirt cheap do it for X8 but never, ever touch X5, X6 or X7. Just don't, trust me. |

Don't get me wrong, it's still a great game and it did a fantastic job balancing the horror and the b-movie action hero tropes...but I think I personally prefer going all-out in either direction. |

4R is one of those rare remakes that stands entirely on its own, but still makes you appreciate how they got lightning to strike the first time around. It really stands out when you consider it managed to avoid the pitfalls of 2R and 3R, and all my gripes about it are pretty petty compared to those (i.e. the keychains feel half-baked and needed some offensive boosts, particularly for higher difficulties). Maybe I just set my expectations too high for the remake, lol. |
I bought a Steam Deck OLED 1TB recently. It's such a fun device. Playing through my backlog is a breeze now that I don't have to go through the hassle of turning on my monitor, connecting plugs, etc.
I'm currently playing Tales of Zestiria, which is my first JRPG. The story is admittedly cliche, but I'm sure enjoying it. |
Playing Final Fantasy VIII on Play Station 1 Classic mini.
I'm trying to level up full and top off supply before the second half of the game. Also trying to level up in Final Fantasy XII before the Point Of No Return. |
"Minimalist" run completed; the hardest part was the two Regeneradors/Iron Maidens right after the Mike section. Having gone through the game with all the handguns, here is my definitive ranking:
W/ Infinite Ammo: 1. Matilda (It melts everything!) 2. Blacktail 3. Sentinel Nine 4. Red9 5. Punisher 6. SG-09 W/o Infinite Ammo: 1. Blacktail 2. Sentinel 9 3. Red9 4. Punisher 5. SG-09 6. Matilda (it'll eat up your reserves!) Sadly despite being Leon's signature weapon, the SG-09 is rendered completely obsolete by the Sentinel Nine due to them basically being equal, but the Sentinel's extended magazine and higher rate of fire makes it much more effective in most situations due to being able to place a follow-up shot that much quicker. Overall the Blacktail is king due to the balanced stat spread being complimented by the superior handling compared to literally everything else in the arsenal. The nerf to the Red9 from OG means it's situational and best used in the place of a rifle for longer-range combat when used with the stock. The Punisher is fine I guess but just doesn't have the same punch as the other handguns, and the penetration is extremely situational- And not even that effective on Regeneradors, unlike the rifles or even LE-5. And the Matilda is most situational of all; if you're using the cat ears for infinite ammo, it won't solve every problem, but it will solve most. If you're doing a "pure" run or focusing on your melee/knife damage over ammo, it's the worst simply because of lackluster damage without the stock, and eats ammo like Haruto does donuts. Quote:

Playing
Tomb Raider VI - The Angel Of Darkness on Play Station 2. Serpent Rouge is driving me nuts so I may skip it. I played Final Fantasy VIII on PS 1 years ago but was unable to finish the game so I want to get everybody to Level 100. Also playing Syphon Filter 1 on PS 1 mini. I'm on Level 4 but may redo Level 3 for an armor. Final Fantasy X In each trial there is a Glyph sphere and a Destruction Sphere. I'm on Trial 5 The Cloister Of Trials. |
I grabbed Sonic x Shadow Generations and a PSVR2 from Black Friday sales.
Sonic: I've never been much of a Sonic fan, but this game is pretty fun. I do kind of wish it was more of a "normal" sonic game, though, but that's a minor complaint. I think I'll try sonic mania next. I'm also really interested in the Sonic Adventure games, as I love that era of platform gaming, but I'm not sure how I'd be able to? I guess I could pick up a PS2 copy to play on my old PS3 that miraculously still works. PSVR2: I just finished playing a bit of Five Nights at Freddys Help Wanted 2, and it was pretty amusing and I had fun, but I'm not sure I really am enjoying the VR headset as a whole. It just feels like so much more work to enjoy games that are mostly gimmicky. |

As for myself, I've been playing Tsukihime, I've really gotten into Type Moon's visual novels this year and as messed up as a lot of things here are, I find the story and characters real gripping |

I'm just about finished with Chroma Squad, this game rules. It definitely relies a lot on being a fan of tokusatsu, though - if you're not familiar with the tropes, I could see it being nothing more than a relatively shallow SRPG with some very lite management sim elements tacked on. But I'm loving it. I want to try playing it again with the other characters to see how they feel in comparison. |
The only games not to make the PS 1 Classic Mini are
Driver 3 Ms. Pac-Man - Maze Madness Street Fighter Collection Volume 1 Parasite Eve 2 I may buy these or use PS Emuator. I will need to get Castle Vainia on PS 1 disk. |
Finished Chrome Squad. That was super fun.
I'm gonna try to go back through my backlog and beat games that I never finished before starting new ones. I decided to give Megaman X another try because I never got past the final stage...this is so frustratingly difficult that I feel like I'm losing my mind, and a discussion on Reddit said that this game is EASY!? Maybe I'm just not used to old game design, or I'm using the wrong weapons or something, but jeez. In my 20+ years of being a Megaman fan, I've never been able to finish a single one of the classic games. Meanwhile, I've beaten all of the Zero games except 2 (which I simply got busy and fell off of) and apparently those are difficult in comparison? |
I own
Mega Man 1 - 11 I bought Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for Mega Man 9 and 10 and Mega Man 11 digitally. I also own Mega Man X1- X8 on PS 2. |

Also not on PS Mini
The Dukes Of Hazzard I and II As for Mega Man I was playing Mega Man 8 on PS2. |
Almost done with the first Disgaea game and I'm sald that it's almost over. I love how fun the gameplay is and the story is well done. I love Laharl, Etna and Flonne as main characters because they are funny, likable, and relatedable. I also love the art style that the games have as well. I regret not getting into this series sooner.
