Knowing how abysmal my area has been, I wasn't expecting to find anything new near me either. Honestly, I was passing through the aisle looking for the Ant Man Legends. Now I kind of regret not picking up the 5 inch Ptera Charge Megazord.

The powered up rangers in the wave also had the translucent weapons, unlike the first wave.

A little late to the Kyoryu Red SHF party, but the recent acquisition of the rest of the team has me going back and showing it some love.

Some black velvet and a light box can go a long way :thumb: That shot was actually done with my phone of all things.

Well I have a light box, but I use poster board for a backdrop. I'll have to go to Michael's one day and look at some cloth.

If you have a fabric store, like a Joann's Fabric, they'll almost always have black velvet. It runs about 20 bucks a yard but, like Michael's, they usually have a coupon online available. Like this one. Using a lower ISO will garner better results, I also use a lower wattage bulb and increase my f-stop and exposure time (given that I'm not half @$$ing it with my phone's camera).

Here is a picture I took recently with a black backdrop and you can see how light the background is. If you click on the image you can see all my camera data:

It might be that the poster board is simply too reflective. Since the velvet "absorbs" the light, the greying doesn't really happen. Honestly any fabric with a velvet-like nap should do the trick, I just went with velvet for simplicity's sake.

Sweet pic BTW, I just picked up the Legacy Tigerzord after the SDCC announcement of the Thunder Megazord. It's a rather nice update to the original.

I also just want to point out that this pic is fucking gorgeous, regardless of the background's colour.
