Finished the first season to Yu-Gi-Oh! today. Forty nine episodes down, 175 to go.

Oh, and my god they really drag out the duel with Pegasus. That thing is like 5 chapters long in the manga and here it is 5 episodes. :banghead:

I also finally encountered the first true bit of filler with Rebecca and then the virtual RPG. They aren't terrible, but they aren't very good either.

See, on the one hand, I like the idea of Super Sentai...but on the other, it's so repetitive. I started with Zyuranger, and then went on to Kakuranger...it wasn't bad but it was too similar. I had to switch to Megaranger, which was different enough to keep me interested, but the shows themselves are repetitive too, with lots of filler episodes. I suppose kids don't care about plot and just want to see people and robots beating up monsters, and then use their toys to do the same...

I'm starting to think i'm basically repeating everything I said in my last post, so i'll stop.

Anyways, anime. I have 4 episodes of Mnemosyne left, but I don't know what to watch after that. I was thinking either Black Lagoon, Paranoia Agent, or Gurren Lagann.

8th MS team episode 3

So now the guerillas are fighting alongside our heroes when pervy Shiro tries to sneak a peek at last episodes not allowed for television surprise. more character development and everybody trusts Shiro.

I feel like this 70s Vietnam-eske war aesthetic really adds to the show. The way that the characters live thier lives and the way they deal with mobile suits are very similar to that ear. The 70s aesthetic from 0079 Gundam really detracted from it but here, it enhances the world a lot, by giving detail to the struggles of the army.

Prepare for a mindfuck.

Finally managed to sit down and watch the latest episode of Nobunaga The Fool.

The pace is starting to pick up, now that it's moving away from the historical reinactment/stage drama side of things. There was quite a bit of action in this episode.

I think if I were to nitpick something it's just how freaking useless Jeanne is.

Even after getting her own Giant War Armour, her decisions only leads to the situations being worse. A good example is what happens in this episode, but I won't spoil in case anyone here hasen't seen it or has interest in the series.

Still, if you've been looking for a mecha anime that's different I highly suggest giving this a try. This is probably the most unique and interesting series that I've seen.

Just be warned that the pacing in this show is all over the place and the first act is kind of a grind. But give it a try none the less, the animation, action choreograph, and music are all gorgeous.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Episode 2: First off, I blame/thank everyone on here for getting me into this show lol. Continuing on well Mami is a badass and that fight scene was cool, macabre, and totally wicked. I am loving the characters so far they are all very intriguing. I don't trust Kyubey even if he is super cute, this wish thing I'm guessing isn't a simple thing. I am very intrigued to see Madoka's and Sayaka's wishes. Also I want to know Mami's and Homura's too. I am loving this series so far.

It's not my #1 favorite anime for nothing :lol, glad you're enjoying it.

That empty Zeon ship was freaky as hell. oh and BETRAYAL to that Titan captain guy. Katz has been developing into a lot better of a fighter, especially with that near destroyed suit he used to save Kamille. Fa and Kamille's stupid bickering continues. Oh, and Emma Sheen is a badass

27 was just picking up Quattro and more great character moments. I don't like at the end of the episode how Kamille isn't so sorry about his bickering considering he participated but at least he admitted that he has faults. The Titans using that giant ass cannon was freaky and OH MY GOD THEY KILLED KAI! I never cared that much about the guy in Gundam 0079 but they glaze over his death like he's just a random transport ship.

Watching Chromed Shelled Regios at the moment.

Watched the first 5 episodes of Gundam Build Fighters. I mentioned is the Gundam thread that it's like Akibaranger for Gundam, and that still holds true. Before I watched it, I expected a mediocre, Pokemon-esque, 20-minute toy commercial. Instead it's a hilarious, action-packed, fanservice-filled 20-minute toy commercial.

Reaaaaally wish Majin Bone had a more dynamic henshin sequence...

Anyways emotional breakdown beside Very intriguing episode learning more about the guy that Sayaka cares about and the Potential of Madoka. Homura is pretty cool and I still get: your so cute but I still don't trust you vibes from Kyubey. Well I should never ask when this show gets dark again. Anyways off to watch something cheerful and continue with my tears.

Finished Chromed Shelled Regios and now moving on to another Gen Urobutchi work, Fate/Zero.

Just got through that for probably the same reason you are - Urobutcher hype. And it's not as bad as Madoka in regards to his call to fame IMO. It's also literally just part of how the Fate universe works to begin with.
