You have no idea how happy I am this was made. I was speaking to the creator of @Trollsei and suggested something like this.

So, I feel compelled to point out that no where on the Morphin' Madness website does it say that the special edition key set will be the five winning rangers.
It just says that it's gonna be five keys and the official rules actually state that the keys in the set are chosen by Bandai, not the contest, and the value of the set plus gold morpher is placed at $65. $65 is awful cheap for custom keys, and most of that value is probably in the gold morpher. So, despite all your voting, you probably still won't get any keys for Rangers that won't be getting keys anyway. |

No worries, you're not being a jerk.
I didn't see that image on the site. Do you have a link? Also, from the official rules: FIVE (5) GRAND PRIZES: A toy prize package. Prize package consists of six (6) toys (toys determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion). Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $65. http://morphinmadness.com/official-rules.html |
That image comes from Sabans own initial press release for Morphin Madness. Sure you can argue the semantics of what "determined by sponsor" means but it's pretty clear that it's the winning rangers that will be made as keys. They wouldn't keep calling the upcoming set the "Morphin Madness Ranger Key Set" if it had nothing to do with the brackets.
The approximate retail value really doesn't mean much though. The same kind of disclaimers exist for things like SDCC exclusives too. The SDCC Legacy Morpher only had an approximate retail value of about $75 as I recall and was I believe sold for that at the convention before shooting up to hundreds of dollars on the aftermarket. The retail value is more an implication of the items worth rather than a specifier of it's contents. |
