I think Prime is not a bad choice to get into the series. I like it had a darker tone to it while still be okay for kids. Steve Blum does a great job as Starscream in my opinion.

I'm not shocked that this happened. What shocks me is the fact that it took like FIVE movies before the franchise started to tank.

I liked The Last Knight for the most part. More than Age of Extinction at any rate, which is still I think my least favorite of the series. I definitely still had a lot of problems with it and it's by no means a great film. But had fun watching it.
