I'm thinking of using some of my money to do an order from somewhere but I'm not sure where. I should probably focus on Zenmarket so I can ship all the stuff I have there.

My friend went home. It was an amazing three days full of food, videogames, anime, and just general tomfoolery.

Well I mean, since you're twisting my arm and all because I totally don't like talking about this stuff anyway~~

Best meal: The only time I really have breakfast is once a year when he comes down to visit, as he loves to eat out for it. So, as basic as it might seem, the Bacon-Cheese Omelette from the local iHop was really good to have after not having had one in forever.

Meanwhile because his sense of breakfast is a sin against nature, he ordered a burger and fries, lol.

Best game: He had never played Shadow of Destiny before, so I had him go through it twice just to see what he would do in it, as he's a pretty quirky dude.

For those who don't know, SoD is a time traveling adventure game for the PSP that let's you do some pretty crazy stuff in order to solve its various puzzles, with a plot that, while on paper, might seem mundane(time travel in order to solve your own murder), the execution as to which you can go about things is absolutely nutty. For example, a murderer is hiding behind a tree waiting to backstab you? Well obviously you should go back in time and prevent the tree from being planted in the first place. Easy!

The playthrough lead to alot of laughs and he seemed to unironically enjoy the game, which was nice.

Best anime: Basic to many, but he had surprisingly never seen Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks before, which is one of my favorite movies in the franchise. While I don't think he got as much out of it as I did, he still liked it, and it made for a nice viewing experience.

It is incredibly funny to me that you went to a breakfast joint because of your friend, and then he ordered a burger. I guess he just wanted to, like, subject you to breakfast food?

Still, it sounds like a very fun visit. Glad you had such a good time!

There were so many great games on PSP and I'm worried they are gonna be lost to time. Many of those games don't port well and our only option is emulation now.

So a few months ago I reinstalled FGO on my phone so I can finish Part 1 of the game. I beat it, much to my great satisfaction.

Afterwards FGO felt like a chore to go through and I generally lost interest.However, I kept playing and grinding through levels because I convinced myself that I wanted to tackle Parts 1.5 and 2 as well.

So anyways, today I decided enough was enough (no point in playing a game that feels like a chore) and deleted it again from my phone so I could get a move on in life.

My problem now is that I feel like wanting to re-install it. Is this what gaming addiction is?

I've spent not a single cent on the game. I resolved myself never to spend money on a free to play game; kind of defeats the idea of 'free to play' for me.

I'm not much of a gamer in the first place anyway, so this is a really unusual feeling for me.

I can see the angle your looking at, I myself feel a little the same way at times. However, when I first started (I'm playing on emulator) I wanted to play one of the Final Fantasy ones or Kingdom Hearts, both of which did not work initially, but I figure it might have been for the better for the latter since it's shutting down service, for the former, I did get them to work but with new accounts on both, unfortunately they don't run very well, so I just log in for the most part.

Anyway, back to FGO, that was one of the games preloaded onto my emulator, and since I recognized the name and didn't have much interest in the other options, I decided to just go for it, only to find myself eventually becoming interested in it. I was pretty new to Fate at the time, with only Apocrypha under my belt, and at first it seemed pretty basic, it was when the Paul Bunyan event came along shortly after I started that I found myself enjoying it, even more later in part 1 around Singularity 5. I skipped 1.5 to get to part 2 for free goodies, but eventually circled back to finish them afterwards (Yes you can go straight to part 2 after part 1, which is honestly where things really get good).
Now I'm clearing the free quests while I wait for Lostbelt 4.

I can take the Gacha because I know how poor my luck is, so my expectations are usually low whenever I roll, but that doesn't mean I don't get frustrated sometimes. It's good to remember that paying ridiculous sums of money for a JPEG isn't worth it (Congrats on F2P).

But hey, it's your choice my friend. Like I said, I've only recently been seeing other Fate media, and this was sort of an accident anyways. There are other games to play out there, and while you may not be a hardcore gamer, I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy!

I've had it installed since day one and I've not progressed since Okeanos released due to a combination of the game just getting tedious as hell (Okeanos being an infamous low point) and hitting a nasty bout of depression that I have yet to fully recover from. Basically all I do is log, summer events, and roll if there's an Artoria on rate-up. I intend to quit for good once the Bunnytoria event rolls around, regardless of whether or not I get her. Basically once a game loses its shine and charm, I feel no need to continue playing it- which is a problem for games like this because you can't just "skip" content like skipping game installments you don't like. I had a similar situation with Girls Frontline, which I absolutely adored (and still do), but the level of investment into the gameplay has required a lot more micro-managing than I'm comfortable or capable of, hence I only started playing somewhat recently to get my account warmed up for its new owner once he gets off his lazy butt.

Keep up the positive attitude and that should help your recovery (no seriously, science shows that positivity boosts your immune system). And good luck with your remission. Make sure you're getting enough sleep, drinking enough fluids and eating enough nutrient-rich food that doesn't flare up your allergies if you have any. Also sunshine and exercise.

As for how I'm doing, I'm doing well thanks. I'm in the process of getting rid of some of my toys in my collection. Actually make that most of my toys in my collection. I have too much of them, I'm not really playing with them and they're just collecting dust which forces me to clean my room more often. Not fun, so I'm thinking of giving them to my cousins in Philippines.

TV-Nihon and Overtime aren't completely down I think. They're just going to in the down low. Of course, yeah, you're gonna have to make use of sub files for a while instead of the typical hard subs.

As for Tiga. Ehh.... I'm crying or cried for different reasons, more like dreading. I don't crazily handle my figures, but I'm the type to play around with them once in a while, make up scenarios for photos and what not, so it scares me what the end result of my little play time with Tiga is gonna end up like.

I feel you might catch a Tiga in the aftermarket for a decent price, tho of course that might come with some troubles.

Ah. That problem hah. I typically never encounter that since, I do this kind of "perodic purging" of my stuff. In other words, I kinda just sell stuff I haven't paid attention or lost interest, or as you said, give away to some relatives. Easy to do that since some of my cousins are in the same kind of plastic craze as I am, in fact they introduced me to it. Recently, I gave my SHF Base Vulcan to my cousin, and some of my other gunpla kits. Tho, that a long time ago, and I haven't done that "purging" in a while, mostly cuz stuff are locked down and ye.

Right now I'm focused on building back my lost muscles, but also need to be careful not to be overboard.

Ahh toys. I recently had to give up my Gundams as well, and even pack in old SHFs into the box simply because I want to collect more and even then the shelves are still full.

My biggest worry are the scalpers. Although they're not as egregious as PS5s are. Come to think of it the only ones I need are Tiga, Z Original, and inevitably Trigger. And Grand Zi-O.

I feel you on the toy collection. In 2020, I seemed to have bought way more than I usually do and as a result I've run out of space. I sold a lot of stuff, including Gundam, but to be honest, I don't miss them.

Building them was fun and I took a lot of pictures to remember them by. Putting things in storage can be a slippery slope because its easy to lose track of why you collect if you can't even appreciate something. I have stuff in storage I tell myself I'll put on display when I move to a bigger place, but I think honestly, I don't even want that big of a display. So instead I constantly rotate stuff from storage into display and I've gotten a much better appreciation for my stuff. The things I rotate quickly or not at all, I feel better about selling off.
