Or Sonic Heroes, I honestly kind of like that one. The level design looks nice and team super attacks are always fun. Plus there's a pinch of problem solving, given the layout of the game's "three person team" gimmick.

Beginner. (Amy's team)

Didn't they include Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph, too, in the Sega Racer?

I actually played Sonic Heroes.
Not for any gimmicky team thing, but because the main villain was the only Sonic character I've ever mildly liked, Metal Sonic.

The only thing I hate about this game is that the ending is a total set up for a sequel... that hasn't happened after 5 years. ;-;
