Saying "Deboss might be revived" a story does not make. That's just a plot hook that the story fish has been avoiding since day one.

It's funny because Kyoryuger embodies everything Sentai Elitists condemn Power Rangers for. I guess I should appreciate Kyoryuger on the sweet irony.

Don't like the show then don't watch the show, but don't simplify everything just to suit you. This has plenty of story.

First off, I've never seen Kuuga.
Second, this is the same kind of hyper-simplified argument you were giving against Black during the LWW poll.
Third, don't take everything so seriously.
Fourth, why do you think I'm watching this show?

I see a glimpse of something interesting, but rather than expand upon it, the next episode 4 episodes is just goofing around before we get another random plot thread that's dropped for more goofing off.
It's unruly, and I want this show to be something more. I'm not wanting a complete tonal shift, I know what this show is, and I can handle funny and goofy. I just want this show to know what it wants to do, rather than just implement plot hooks and leave them dangling to be resolved later.

The only plot that seems to be treated with any sense of importance is Ian and Aigaron's, and the glimmering stones. While it's likely that it might tie into Daigo and his father's story, we don't have any reason to pursue it since the show wants to introduce more rangers instead.

Why don't you ask why someone dislikes it, rather than just telling them to get out the room?

I dislike this show because I see one of the most interesting rangers casts based solely on their character summaries alone, with an interesting villain motif, and a fairly intriguing story, but the show would rather dance around (Literally), then expand upon those. It feels like a waste of potential. We're only 18 episodes in, and I'm hoping that by 25 the other two Kyoryugers will be introduced so that we can actually build on our cast and story, rather than just expand it.

Villains that aren't annoying.

Or lame.

Or both.

Or both while covered in pink hearts.

Souji and Ian to do something outside of their spotlight episodes.

A universe that doesn't revolve around King and a sun that doesn't rise and set from his ass.

I get what your saying. You want a deeper, richer plot. But that isn't what this series is about. Not after what they tried with Go-Busters. You can tell they made this series to be more fun than anything else. Look at Candi. And I defend it so hard because I like what they're doing. I wouldn't want it every season, it'd be to much and turn me off. But I love it now. And King isn't perfect, he proved that with Gray. And the series isn't over yet. It might surprise you.

Every show that wants to be taken seriously in any capacity should be about that. Even the ones that don't. Plot is not some extra element you add to a TV show. Even bad movies and shows need plot.

It doesn't need to be magna-deep, but if plot is not a consideration that's basically saying Kyoryuger is on the level of Spongebob.

You know, I've never really gotten into Spongebob. I've seen a few episodes, seen the movie, but never really got into it.

Maybe to you. I just find them annoying and pointless. The novelty of a "happy" themed villain completely wore off when they started shoehorning her into as many episodes as they can.

Which is why I'd find a constantly happy villain having to feel a negative emotion an interesting turn of events that might make the show more watchable for me.
