You cannot seriously expect me to take something that is fruit themed seriously. It makes me think of that stupid Fruit Ninja Kinect crap. Toei better have their best writers stuck to this show like glue because right now, it is just sounds dumb.

I'm genuinely not liking this design. The shoulder pads are simply massive and awkward. And the bumps on the armor (what fruit is that supposed to be? Also. Fruit. Yes, yes, we're allowed a level of ridiculousness, but that's just really silly) look super ugly. Like he's diseased or something.

I'm more than okay with the colors and samurai motif - and he does very much look like one. But the other motif worked in there ruins the look to me.

The second guy doesn't look too bad, but the horns are kind of weird. And where are you guys seeing a banana peel on him??

What, it was technically a giant peach for a face. They didn't dwell on it, and it had little in-story signifcance. It was a motif, nothing more.

Also a lot of Rider shows have premises or motifs that are not even close to what you would expect hearing it. Wizard, for instance, is probably the farthest thing from a "Wizard" as you can be. He doesn't cast spells, mix potions or where a pointy hat. He wears rings and rubs his crotch while his belt yells "PLEASE!" What does that have to do with wizards?

As far as we know, the fruit thing is a motif with no in-story relevance. If you're expecting giant real-ass fruit being summoned and sliced up, wait until you see the show. You could end up eating your words.

The bumps may not even have anything to do with fruit. Historically there are many kinds of armour from different eras and places that feature his "bump" design.

What I meant was like the fruit is diseased; malformed. It's supposed to be some sort of fruit apparently, and it's not looking like one to me. So it looks odd as a result.

The bumps on Gaimu's armour is probably trying to emulate the rivets you'd see on actual samurai armour:

I'm not angry, though you seem a bit upset. Just because someone calls you out on something you say doesn't mean they're angry or raging.

Like, do we know-know? Do we even know what kind of fruit it is? Maybe it's a pineapple? Then the bumps would make more sense.

Thank you. Rivets was the word I was looking for. I almost said screws, but that didn't seem right, so I stuck with "bumps."

And if it looked more like traditional rivets, maybe I'd be fine with it. But the bumps that are there just look odd to me.
