But seriously, of all the things it could've been... trains ain't so bad. It's new as a team motif and isn't animals. That's all I could ask for. Looking forward to seeing what it has to offer.

Unless Toei and Bandai troll us all and the Trains become Animals.

I have never seen a train in real life, but yeah trainspotting sounds quite boring. :P

But as with most sentai shows the mechs will have little function besides fighting the MOTW (unless they pull a Den-O) so the existence or non-existance of trains will probably have little effect on the plot.

You've never seen a train?! To be fair, trains were never something I really used until I went to uni. When I was younger, I was all about buses, but as I got older I realised there is basically no benefit to a bus if you can get a train instead.

And yeah, I know the mech stuff is pointless and tacked on and exists entirely to sell toys, but trains is the first bit of information we're given on this show which would imply it's more central to the series than just the shape the mechs will take.

Trains are non-existing here, man I had never realized how many thing I have missed so far.

Anyways you are kinda right on that, so far all we know it's that it's Train Sentai Trainger, so it may be more important to the show, in which case good! I'm tired of Mechs being an afterthought.

Maybe this'll mean they'll finally update the mech stuff and make it look decent. I mean the Kyoryuger stuff is a massive step up effectwise, but I think the only time the mech stuff in sentai has been genuinely good was in Go-Busters and even that had those hideous, gratuitous stacked combined mechs that stopped the suit actor being able to move. And it hasn't come on nearly as far as the henshin hero stuff has.

It's just a shame it's trains.

Yes Ace is a treat, Go-BusterOh starts as a glorified finisher attack but in general the combined forms aren't used that much, at least so far (I'm on 30 something).

I'm gonna say, it's a joy that it's trains. :D
