And I'll just pop in and ask for a show about Takatora.

One thing we never got an answer to yet was about how and why the forest must choose someone. I think by now it's obvious that the Forest chose Mai, which is why she and Mysterious Girl are basically twins. That still leaves why, how she got the red eye, travels through time, and what it all means |

...and this one puts the count up to 20 episodes of pure awesomeness!!!
Am I the only one wishing for Urobuchi to go the Amemiya way and create his own franchise like Garo? |
The craziest part of this show is that, outside of Kouta, there's no real black or white heroism.
I mean, you've got Micchy, who's extremely two-faced and a couple of episodes back, it seemed like he was truly about to turn his back on Kouta, but then surprises everyone and helps him. But at the same time, he says that he'll betray anyone to protect his world. Then you take Kaito, who seems to be shaping up to be Kouta's ally, but then this episode, completely switches on us. You get to Takatora and despite him seeming cold, heartless, brutal and prejudiced, he's probably the only genuine good guy amongst his colleagues. Even Bravo takes on the role of a minor antagonist, but isn't necessarily a bad guy. |
Welp, so much for the all team dance getting people back on the Beat Riders side, though I suppose the scene was there to highlight the following points Takatora and Ryouma made.
Still, it shows the people of Zawame city blaming the Beat Riders are more willing to blame the people trying to protect them, rather than think about where the Invess are coming from if the Beat Riders aren't the ones summoning them. Man, hope Kaito gets his act together, otherwise it looks like he's trying to be the final villain. Also, Takatora? It'll be a miracle for you to survive the series with all the dramatic irony you're drowning in. |
Rarely does an episode of Kamen Rider get me to think like this one did. Not just about what's going on in the story, but about what's going on in the world. Normally I'd go into detail about what was good what was awesome and what was relatively okay. However this week I have nothing to say for any of that stuff, because all I can say is simply this... This is how you make one of the best episodes of the franchise.
