Thanks for the suggestions! Hibiki was one I had considered actually, so maybe I'll give him a go.

Do SIC's ever get reissued. I was looking for a Kabuto on Mandarake since I'm getting Punch/Kickhopper and likely to grab The Bee but I could only find one for 8000 yen. With all the Kabuto releases and the anniversary I'm hoping he'll get one.

A bunch of pre-owned KTs showed up on AmiAmi earlier today. I managed to snag a Blade, Blade Jack Form and Wild Chalice for 3440 yen combined. Not bad. There were a few others available too (Garren, Faiz, Kaixa, at least) but most are pretty much gone now.
Also, SIC Kabuto is pretty awesome. It looks great in all modes. It'd be nice if that one or some others got a rerelease, but yeah unfortunately SIC doesn't seem to get the occasional rereleases that Figuarts do. |

Also, for those looking at KTs Faiz, Garo, and Zero seem to be the highest on the used market. |

Not sure what's up with the Garo ones, though, as those two in particular are kinda shit. |

Not getting the thing you originally wanted sucks, but not if you can sell it and get what you do want and still have cash to spare! |
Just got SIC Kiwami Blade King Form. Nifty little figure. And they are cheap :D

I know I ordered the KT Wild Chalice and am looking forward to it.....buuuuuuuuuuut if you accidentally ship me the main SIC version instead, I'm totally cool with that. No worries. Sincerely, Me Quote:
Also, in my latest experience with older SIC figures, the Knight/Ouja two-pack arrived today. I snagged it for a decent price on Mandarake. Ouja is rather boring; just a couple weapons and extra hands but nothing else really for him. Knight is pretty cool since he comes with his Survive mode parts (though unfortunately, no Darkwing). The unfortunate part is, while attempting to remove his left forearm for his Survive mode forearm, the elbow joint broke. I can actually loosely plug it back into the joint and it holds, but yeah another superglue candidate. It's too bad because otherwise he's pretty damn fun, like Ryuki and other SICs that are two figures in one. I'm sure if the connection between the elbow joint and forearm was different (a rod type connector instead of ball joint) it would've been fine. This also means I will probably never bother to transform the Ryuki I own from normal to Survive mode either to avoid any risk of breakage. The only other issue is both come with loose ankle joints. They can hold a pose, but I'll have to be a little careful to avoid jostling any shelf I have them on to avoid them tipping forward. Interesting difference compared to Ryuki, who is pretty immaculate in terms of tightness despite being roughly the same age. EDIT: Oh, FYI, AmiAmi got some more KTs in. Some sold already, but a few are still there: Decade - http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/det...%24pagecnt%3D1 Kaixa - http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/det...%24pagecnt%3D1 Blade Jack Form -http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/det...%24pagecnt%3D1 Zanki (also available for backorder) - http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/det...%24pagecnt%3D1 Todoroki (also available for backorder) - http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/det...%24pagecnt%3D2 |
Remember that thing a little while back about a 15th anniversary SIC figure? Yeah, it's just another Rider 1.
http://blog.yahoo.com/_ED274AZGFINLE.../1281469/index Let me be the first to say whoopie doo... |
Goddammit.
I was hoping for something we actually needed. Like Fourze, or the missing secondary riders like Accel/Trial and Birth. Or anything besides another God damn Rider 1. |
So... I think I know the answer to this but just to check...
The other king and jack forms from blade (so Leangle and Garren's) did they actually get made and released or where they just examples for the S.I.C story things? |
some quick photos to celebrate Kaixa Day

I received the Hopper Bros. two-pack last week and had a chance to open them up this weekend.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps0adc9345.jpg They're...ok. Nothing wrong whatsoever, but not as fulfilling as other releases due the relative lack of accessories. I was kind of expecting it (the Figuarts releases of these two didn't come with much either, right?), but it still was a bit disappointing. The Hopper Bros. themselves are pretty, certainly. Also, no stands were included. The SIC stands (well, the ones that came with Tajadol and Putotyra combos) weren't that great to begin with, but considering the effects part for each works best when posed mid-air (especially Punch Hopper), I was curious if a stand would be included. No dice. (Like Kabuto and some other SICs, you can more overtly feel the die-cast included with these two [thanks to the die-cast leg pieces] much more than you can with the OOO figures.) I also received Shauta Combo this morning and will post more pics of that later. |
Took pics of Shauta on my lunch break, here they are:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psd8ba4f02.jpg (As you can see, the octopus tentacles get their own separate tray.) Shauta's a pretty figure; not quite Gatakiriba or Putotyra, aesthetically, for me, but close to Tajadol and ahead of Tatoba. The blue on the legs looks fine in person, a slightly metallic look, very slightly. I like the clear blue bits on the legs too (front and back). The wrist pieces flop around a bit, which can be annoying in his basic set-up. They're more secure when he's wielding the whips, which plug into the wrist and are held by one of his extra pairs of hands. The cord/whip piecesthat plug from his wrist into the top of his shoulder are removable but were a bit tight to remove from the shoulder plugs. They're a softer plastic, so not too fragile. Not nearly as much shoulder posability as the others, which isn't a suprise given the shoulder pads on Shauta. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psf1f752db.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps3fafecb0.jpg The clear eel whips look nice. I wouldn't have minded seeing joints engineered so they'd be more posable, but oh well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psbb8f69e3.jpg He's easy to pull apart and piece back together to go back and forth between his normal legs and octopus tentacle base. Tentacles plug right into the base piece. He can stand pretty comfortably on the tentacles; no support issues whatsoever. (It's hard to tell from the pics, but the middle piece of each tentacle is clear plastic that's painted over.) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps516765b4.jpg Nice figure, and more bang for your buck than Gatakiriba in regards to the price it cost compared to the amount of accessories it comes with (and Gatakiriba isn't exactly barren in the accessory department). |
Man that's nice. Those eel arms are cool but weird.
|
Mezool! MEZOOL! That is a beautiful thing, but I still don't like the legs :lol

Recently snagged two of the SIC two-packs I'd been hunting for some time. Ixa and Dark Kiva's first up (I'll have a chance to open the other one sometime in the next couple days). Dark Kiva's great; the metallic red and the suit design in general here impress me very much. He's also surprisingly stable despite the cape pieces and all the die-cast. Ixa has less of a "wow" factor but is solid - the only bugaboo is I can't get either head to pop into the neck joint like I can get the hands to pop into the wrists, so it's a little too easy to take off (I'll have to remember not to pick him up by the head in the future). Like Mirror Knight from Ultraman, he reminds me a little of Anti-Spawn/the Redeemer from Spawn.
(Also, those fuestle things on the belts are so frickin' tiny...thankfully they stay pegged in but I would've been fine if those had just been molded into the belt instead of separate pieces. They scream vacuum bait.) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psbb1a1a55.jpg |
Dark Kiva looks GREAT. I've never seen the design before but man, it looks sweet as fuck.
Other news: Finally, after all this time, I may have completed my SIC W collection by getting CycloneJokerXtreme. I'm very excited. |
You haven't watched Kiva?! Dark Kiva is AWESOME! The best stuff in the show involves Dark Kiva.
|
Would anyone be interested in splitting a SIC HeatMetal/LunaTrigger or FangJoker/Skull set?
I need an extra W SIC body due to a part breaking. So, you could get either Skull or HM/LT if you're interested in splitting a set. Odd question, but hopefully someone's willing to split a set with me :) |
Xtreme came in the mail. My W SIC collection is finally complete. And I was able to craft my own Kamen Rider Joker from all the leftover parts I had from all the sets.

For W, I'm officially done. I don't Need GoldXtreme, I've got my own Joker. I may get some of the OOO SICs, but since most are limited and I have less emotional attachement, I may skip.
|
So I'm not sure if anyone would be interested, but at the end of the month I'm coming into a small SIC collection for next to nothing. I'll be parting it out for sale when I get it and just wanted to give you guys a head up:
Hibiki Kurenai & Todoroki 2-pack Blade & King Form parts Blade Jack & Leangle 2-pack Faiz Blaster & Auto Vaijin Den-O Super Climax Kiva Emperor Hibiki & Armed Form parts Kiva Sengoku Hibiki (which I'm keeping) |

I'd be all over the Hibiki SICs if I didn't know they were so fragile. :(
Love those designs. I wish to God SIC KT kept doing them. BTW, what's the red boxed Hibiki SIC KT? Some kind of exclusive? |
