It's an excellent story, but it also shows why Otto is not a superior Spider-Man.

And to me that is the whole point of the book.

The whole Spider-Man, Peter is now Otto, Mary Jane made a deal with Mephesto, thing just.. it just confuses the shit out of me.

I admit I haven't read much of Marvel 2099, but I don't remember the slang being so annoying in the originals.

Ock made them switch brains, comics have always been convoluted, so that's pretty tame all things considered. :lol

Yup I only gotten around to the first few Issues but they never talked that crazy. The Slang in the originals is much more toned done compared to what Slott did :lol

I completely agree. Another thing that always bugged me and never really worked was that the Avengers all know each others secret identities...except for Spideys. I know after all the Civil War stuff they probably didnt bother but its still pretty weird to me. Especially since Tony is such a big control freak.

Wait, the New Avengers know don't they? The last shot of their book was all of them hanging around in civilian outfits.

No, I think they do. At least, The Amazing Spider-Man #698 implied that they knew. As did the Captain America issue of Avenging Spider-Man.

Thats weird. Everytime they appeard in Superior and in the current Hickman Avengers run I never got the vibe that they knew Peter was Spider-Man.
