I just don't see what more they can add to this series that DB hasn't already done as there are just way too many forms and power levels. I guess if anything, I want to see the multiverse Beers talked about at the end of BoG.
So, rather than buy DB and DBZ on DVD and skip the filler episodes, you just want them to release DB a second time and DBZ a third time just because there were a couple filler episodes during the Buu arc?

Anyway, there is plenty of things they can do, seeing as how they're effectively retconning GT out with the current movies.

I'm not talking about the ones that died, I'm talking about Vegeta, Goku, and Piccolo, who no longer sound the same. It is time to relaunch the series from the beginning with a new anime and new voice actors.

I've already did that. But that still doesn't fix the tournament, Boo, and Freeza saga issues.

You're just asking for something that will not happen and that's ultimately pointless. I'm sorry that you specifically want EXACTLY this scenario to be what a new show is but that's just not going to happen.

As for voice changes that's inevitable when there's nearly 20 years between dubs. What did you expect? Some people physically have different sounding voices now. Would you rather brand new people who sound nothing like the characters at all be brought in?

What you want is just a pointless retread in my opinion. One that's so over the top that it just can't be done. Frankly if the filler kills you that much just skip it and watch the original releases and be done with it. I've never found there to be much point to Kai personally. I like watching the franchise in it's entirety all the way through GT. I don't need something even more slavish to the manga to be satisfied, frankly I feel DB & Z are fine just the way they. Give me a new engaging story for Super and I'm happy.

Seeing that Kai is still recent, I doubt we will get another adaption of the manga for a long time. Maybe in another 10 years they can do a remake series with brand new proper animation.

I won't mind a Heroes TV series since it can take place in it's own neat universe and can do whatever it wants without worrying about interfering with the continuity of the anime and manga.

Aldo hero would sell well with younger one. Heck collectable gimmic is what hero is and anime to with it makes it better

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods

I quite enjoyed it. I was surprised by how much humor was in it. I expected it to be super serious. Beers is probably my favorite DBZ antagonist, and I'd happily buy a Figuart of him if Bandai ever makes one. That final fight scene was fantastic. I still think that Super Sayian god sucks, since it's just Goku with red hair, and less muscle mass. I'm really confused as to whether or not this makes GT non-cannon, as Pilaf and co. are kids, but Goku NEVER went Super Sayian 4. So, yeah once I can afford it, I'll likely but the Blu-Ray or DVD.

I think GT is view as another timeline in the series similar how DB Movie 1-4 and DBZ Movies 1-13 are. Fans view the main continuity of Dragon Ball anything created and written by Toriyama. So the manga, Battle of Gods, Revival of F and possibly Super (depending how much story that Toriyama puts in) can be view as canon while everything else seems to take place in their own time lines.

However Dragon Ball has no official canon, so it always ends up in big debates and causes flame wars. Toriyama views the older movies as “stories in a different dimension from the main story of the comic”. That's most likely the older DBZ movies never fit into the timeline of the anime and manga.

Battle of Gods isn’t interfering with GT because it sets before the manga ends, Dragonball GT follows after. The thing with Prince Pilaf & gang could wind itself up, they do get the Dragonball back together and wish themselves older again, ending up as elders like they appear in GT.

But it doesn’t matter anyways, GT is a different universe-thing now. The only real canon is the manga as far as I know, everything else can be considered sidestorys or "What if?"'s.

I fully agree with you on Beerus, he's the best thing that happened to the franchise in quite some time and for me he carried the whole movie by himself. I really need a SHF of this guy too.

It wS all ready confirmed GT was non cannon before this film but this film confirmed it confirmed it that GT has been Retconned and Non cannon.

Also do t forget yo son goku and his friend return special class as cannon Akira write the story for the anime special but not the manga adaption.

That's how I view the series. However you have fans that feel like that everything should exist in their own timelines. Putting everything DB related into one universe is like putting every Kamen Rider show and movie into one universe. You will get one major massive headache trying to do that. None of the old DBZ movies can fit into the timeline expect the Bojack movie and Wrath of the Dragon. The first Coola movie almost fits but Gohan's tail, Goku not able to teleport and Goku not going SSj until the last minute ruins it from fitting.

A new manga scan of Super. Nothing new since it list down the villains of Dragon Ball despite Pilaf, General Red and Golden Freeza not being listed down.

I hope this new villain is not another Android or Saiyan. I feel like that those two are over done in my opinion.

It would be nice to get a Namekian villain again. Would give Piccolo a reason to be important in the story.

So are the Saiyans.
Goku, Vegeta, etc are the exceptions. Freeza alone crushed the entire race.
Why can't there be standout Namekians beyond just Piccolo?

They did that with Lord Slug and it didn't turn out well. Lord Slug just end up being a bad rehash of Picoclo's father.

Lord Slug was also delegated to a 90 minute movie.

Yeah that bugged me in Battle of gods.
If Goten and Trunks are gonna look the same then that's just lazy.

Trunks should have looked similar to how he did in HOT in BOG.

Not really. Trunks was still only 13 at most in BoG, whereas the Trunks in HoT was 16ish.

History of Trunks is set in Age 780 from what I can remember. So he should be 12 by Battle of Gods and 13 by Revival of F. I think Toriyama is either too lazy to draw them older or can't remember how to draw their cast older.

You're talking about the man who couldn't even remember all of his characters (Lunch).

Anyway, I don't know if I mentioned this, but I learned at A-Kon this past weekend that Funimation has not acquired the licensed for Super yet and even when they do, there will be no dub simulcast because they want to air the dub on Toonami. Plus, there is no way they could get all of the voice actors back on a weekly basis, and they want to do it right.

They got Beerus in the teaser, so it seems like these last 2 movies are now officially canon to whatever storyline that is about to born from Dragon Ball Super.

If not both movies, at least Battle of Gods movie at the minimum seems to be canon to the new Dragon Ball show now

Toryiama had more input into the story of the last two movies then he did with DBZ Movies 1-13. Bojack Unbound and Wrath of the Dragon are the only DBZ movies from the 90's that can fit into the timeline of the anime and manga in my opinion.

I disagree. The purple is different, and the girl is wearing different clothes. My guess? Beerus and Whis have siblings Still a bit lazy, though.

I'm happy about more Beerus, but yeah they are just adding on to the lazy here. Though Krillin's new look is perfect though. I saw Yamcha in one of the other pics from the trailer so I'm happy he's back too.
