I ordered a Wolkaiser for a co-worker and a GT-02 Gorilla to replace mine that I broke the clips on in a recent accident. They were 2500 & 1000 JPY before shipping, respectively.
I was kinda worried about the Wolkaiser due to how low the price is, but it was indeed only missing the inner cardboard cover to the packaging. The GT-02 was brand new.

While Go-Busters stuff can break easily, at least it is cheap to replace. ;P

They came out the year I was born, so I hold no attetchment to them. I would be gettin Generations Armada Starscream, but I hate it. Why have it come from the series with Minicons and not have his? HotShots Universe version came with a new Jolt, where the hell is Swindle?!

I remember seeing some of Beast Wars when I was little. But I was too busy watching Animorphs to remember much.

Because that means more plastic which is more expensive than it was when Classics Hot Shot came out. Also unlike hot Shot, Starscream actually keeps both of his gimmicks in his Deluxe form.

I can understand that. Ive seen the prices go up at my local stores. But still, the point of all of Armada was the mini-cons, I get Starscream was a popular character and all. But if youre gonna still give him the ports for a mini-con, why not try to include, I wouldve understood making him a bit bigger or putting him in a voyager box for Swindle to be with him.

Finally decided to order a sengoku driver, got it for 6500yen shipped on mandarake. Not too bad.

You need to watch Beast Wars. It is the second greatest Transformers show ever (Animated is the best) as it had great characters with a nice story, especially in its second season. The first season introduced us to the world, gave us a slight backstory as to how BW fits into Transformer history, and then season 2 changes everything and the stakes are raised while Season 3 expanded on that and gave us an end to the war.

It really is one of the best series. Why do you think the "thrilling 30" has at least 3 molds based on Beast Wars?

Cheetor was one of, if not my first Transformer. I wasn't watching the show as often as say Power Rangers but I was aware of it

I have to echo the sentiments here. Being born in '89 Beast Wars is my G1. It was fantastic stuff , very compelling, and far more enjoyable than nearly any Transformers show before or since. Animated is also very excellent. I'll essentially buy any Beast Wars figures they want to make in the future. I even love Beast Machines for the crazy dark tone it had, weird personalities for characters and all. So the upcoming Tankor excites me to no end.

lol Funny enough, Beast Wars is actually what stole my interest away from Power Rangers. I was a huge PR fan, but was getting a little tired of them changing things up every year. I still was buying PR toys, but it was a little hard to keep up when you are a 14 year old getting $10 a week for your allowance. As such, I decided to move on to Beast Wars in 96 because I could at least buy one figure a week instead of buying a giant robot once every month and a half. Not to mention getting all of the rangers, monsters, etc. It also did not help that PR was in Turbo when Beast Wars in the middle of its first season, which is where I really started to question my love for PR. Space was actually the last series I had bought the toys to, and I only bought the 5 rangers and the 5inch Astro Megazord.

Little did I know I was going to just love the yearly change several years later when I got into the Jp versions.

As I said last night (sort of) good man!

I was burnt out on Gunpla for a while after Age, loved the show but didn't care for the High Grades. However I am sorely tempted to pick up at least the Build Strike and Build Mark II. The show being as excellent as it is, it's selling me massively on the line.

I'm already planning to get the Sengoku Astray, the Bearguy III and the Kampfer Amazing early next year. Should probably get some version of the Build Strike too I guess :lol

Funny how the model kit Gundam show hooked me way more than the "real" ones :lol

I've been slowly watching through Beast Wars with my daughters, having never seen it before. I think I even picked up the DVDs from somebody here, was it you DenO?

Anyway, the animation is complete and utter crap. I'm only two discs in, i think, but I barely even notice the terrible CG anymore, because the writing is pretty solid, and the characters are interesting.

My only real problem with it, is there doesn't ever seem to be any consequence to any of the violence. A few episodes ago Optimus Primal was damaged and I thought he said he'd never be able to fly again, but he's been flying ever since. in the episode we watched last night, Rattrap shot Terrorsaur's head off, and the body wandered around looking for the head, and the head could still speak. My girls thought it was funny, but should he be deactivated without a head? and I'm sure he'll be fine next time.
I won't be buying any of the toys, I'll be sticking with 3rd Party stuff right now, and not a lot of that either, cuz money, but it's neat that Hasbro is finally releasing good BW figures.

Oh guys trust me, I have seen Beast Wars, I just dont hold the nostalgia to it like I do the Unicron Trilogy. Hell I own the Shout Factory release for all 3 seasons, I have seen it probably two times all the way, I love the series. Scott McNeil voicing all of my favorites helps :lol

As for the damage they talk about that fairly regularly. The Axalon has a CR chamber for healing. You stick em in there for a few hours so and they're good to go. I honestly can't believe you've never seen it, it's by far one of the best things in the franchise. I still think it looks good even by todays standards, an excellent show.
