For people that orders off AmiAmi, how does it work with combined orders? I have a item that is set to released in early May, and figuarts in late May, would I be charged instantly for the one that is released earlier in the month or do they charge me when both items are in stock? Also what is the best shipping to use from them?

Yeah, he's totally adorable but we're very experienced with large high maintenance dogs, had them all through our lives, so we're OK with him. We know what we're in for!

Todays orders included a MMZ01- Moe Moe Zyukyuun, a Takara Generations Orion Pax and Megatronus 2-Pack and DX Gao Bears. I was going to skip Moe Moe Zukyuun because I already have Moya Moya and prefer it, but I couldn't say "no" to getting it for $35!

One £13 customs fee later and he's finally here...

Initial thoughts - damn this figure is nice. And I have absolutely no problem with the hands - they're super easy to remove and fit much more snugly than Figma hands too. The tree is all kinds of awful though :lol

As long as the orders are combined, you won't get charged for anything until every item that is part of the order is in stock, so in this case late May. They don't charge you as stuff arrives (HLJ will).

As for shipping method, that's up to you based on how quickly you want them. If it's just two Figuarts that you have preordered, SAL should be an option (the cheapest, I think, for AmiAmi?) but you'll have to wait longer. EMS is faster but naturally more expensive. Again, totally up to you.

Is that $35 before or after shipping? And how on earth did you score it that low?

You're charged once everything is in stock. And even though you select a shipping method when you order, once they send you payment request, you can select a different method if you like, and they'll have prices for all the options. I usually don't have a choice in the matter because my boxes get so big they default to EMS.

May I ask where the badges came from? I still only have Kanto. And my friend got them for me. I need to work on the other 5-6 sets.

My monthly haul includes some BIONICLE too... Feels like it's been forever. Probably because it has been a year since I bought anything to keep slowly completing my collection.

Scored myself a Trandformers generations voyager whirl. Great guy with loads of personailty. Chopper mode it fun too.

I got the gen 1-5 badges at C2E2 last year from the booth for Sanshee.com. They ran a deal where you got all 5 sets and it even included the 2 extra badges for Black/White 2. I found the gen 6 ones the last day at a random booth. It was the last set they had. I have seen some on Etsy, but I don't know if they are the same type as the Sanshee ones. These gen 6 looked identical to the previous gens.

Got my Kabuto today. The packaging really is gorgeous though the box was smaller than I expected.

His review of DX Great Goldran got me to buy the Legend of Great Bravers toy guide, made me want to jump at this decent deal for the Sonokong Sky Goldran (with everything still on sprues and unapplied decals!), and (because of the guide book) has left me drooling over the DX BaanGaan that just appeared on Mandarake recently. Though for that last one, fears of CM Corp's QC issues and not being able to justify spending $400 right now (unless I sold G12.. hrmm.. no, stop that line of thought) have left me just biding my time.

I'm in no rush to pick up Leon Kaiser. I don't really like the Great Goldran combo, and don't like Leon Kaiser on his own. I'd only display him combined with Sorakage.

Also, in light of the existence of a complete gold chromed Great Goldran, I almost want to dub this one Goldrab.... <_<

If it makes you feel better, the shipping box and Sky Goldran's box both had a hole punched right through the back and it was shipped from within the US

Honestly it blows my mind that people balk over shipping rates for EMS anyway. I mean it's like $10 to send a 1.5lb. box from one end of the country to another, and people complain about $5 more for 3-4 day shipping on one Figuarts from JAPAN?

When your hauls get up in the 8+ piece range, the shipping works out to be cheaper than that, anyway. Like the last haul I posted in this thread's shipping was 6380 Y. Which for eight items works out to less than $8 an item. You can't tell me that someone would have charged less shipping per item had I bought it in the US somewhere.

It only really SEEMS expensive because you're comparing it to bargain basement, takes three weeks to arrive and looks like it got kicked down a flight of stairs stuff. The only comparable US shipping that is that cheap is local Priority and First Class, which is only <13oz. anyway.

The tree / holder is the absolute best part. I usually toss my hands and accessories in a plastic baggie, and I pull my hair out worrying about lost hands (I nearly peed my pants yesterday because I thought I was missing two of Zeronos's hands), and this is a really nice idea because all I have to do is look at the tree. It is also modular which is A+, so for more hands, just add more tree.

That's.....not good. My boxes rarely have holes that big. Sometimes there's a minor tear or a dent.

Yeah, I don't really understand it either. I mean, if it's just a few items, yeah, EMS inflates a lot, but the more you order(up to a certain point) it pads out. Though, my orders usually become absurdly big leading to $80-100+ shipping fees. Bleh.

Maybe the mail truck goes through a warzone, and every box somehow gets hit by a stray bullet everytime? :p

But yeah, I got a hole punched box a few weeks ago...it sucks.

Oh, I definitely love the idea but the way they clip onto the tree just doesn't work. It took me forever to get them all back on just because they kept slipping off as I did more :lol

For a first attempt I'm glad Bandai are doing this, but it definitely needs some refining.

10800, 11300, 9930 have been my last three (well, last three before this month, but I had three packages this month with 3200, 6380, 3360 charges) shipping fees, so I know that feel man. I once had a shipping charge of 13780. Biggest one ever haha. Like, my last order (with the 3200 shipping) was smaller total than all of those charges except the 9930! But it only had three things in it.

...now if you'll excuse me I just realized it's May in Japan and AmiAmi can't stop me from adding to May orders IN MAY. (stupid not letting me combine MP-13B I ordered on March 30th with April...)

I find it helps keeping them in there when you put your finger over the ridge where they are supposed to go and slide it in, and push down with something afterward.

As a former worker at FXG, I've seen the way things have come in and gone out. Not totally sure about the other guys, but coming in, if it's on a bulk truck & packed, damage can happen....a lot. But we did try to repack it before things went out, and everything got documented. It's hit & miss. But I've seen some things that look irreparable, and definitely depends on the worker repacking/repairing the package. Drivers try to fix a bad repack if they can. But overall, in those warehouses, it's fast paced, and workers aren't paid much (well, everyone doesn't think they're paid enough!) and management wheel grinders. So....just saying.

Now this in no way excuses the way stuff comes to you all. Just posing another POV. Just saying that sometimes it's not the sellers fault when it leaves their country. It all depends. Hell, at my other old job, one international customer had us take pictures of the shipment, but in that case, it was a container full of totes with ink/paint base. But I'd think the option should be there for any item, not matter how small or expensive.
