I'm finding myself more drawn to the Minipla version now that my Great Gobuster is broken in TWO areas (One of the clips holding the Beet's boots to the gorilla and The clips that hold the Beet's waist together). Seriously, who at Bandai/Plex thought it was a good idea to it so theres only two attachment points? Another one or two on the other side of the boots/feet wouldve evened things out.

I don't know how long this has been up on amiami since I haven't been paying attention, but I haven't seen it mentioned on here yet so I thought I'd share.

Mini-Pla - Kamitsuki Gattai Kyoryujin BOX (CANDY TOY)(Tentative Preorder)

Four characters seems a bit strange (I would have expected 3 or 5) so I wonder if its a case of 2 of them being packed in one box like the Gosei Great minipla.

It probably means that Gabutyra is two boxes.

Or that :lol
That's actually much more likely.

It'll probably go like:

Box 1: Kyoryujin chest, shoulders, head
Box 2: Kyoryujin legs, helmet(?)
Box 3: Stegotchi
Box 4: Dorikera

I'm not really a fan of how Gabutyra looks alone, at least in that shot. Way too much like a dinosaur with an additional cradle stuck to the bottom.

It doesn't look like he has elbows... :(

I'm slowly leaning more towards the DX versions.

I'm gonna go out and say he doesn't have elbows. But could you really expect it to have elbows anyway? Just based on how the battery is the connector that holds the arm in the joint and it's a solid piece I just don't think they could put elbows in there.

There very well could be a small hinge in the battery at the far end. There are a couple closeups of the connectors in that image. That might be what they're trying to show off.

On another note, I wish they would've used yellow plastic for this, if only because it's hard to make yellow paint look good.

Not bad, not bad at all. I have to agree that Gabutyra looks pretty bad on its own though, and those yellow sections are going to be a nightmare to paint.

Wow, for a change I'm actually not sure if I'll get the minipla. The more I see the DX and the mecha in the show the more I'm liking them. Plus I love the battery gimmick but it looks like it's hurt the candy toy.

Hmm tough choice, do I want a musical zoo of big dinosaurs or a silent zoo of small dinosaurs that I'll have to paint...

I do feel like I need to own at least the DX mecha from one line though. Candy toys are a bigger pain to get later on though. Gah problems of an international Toku fan eh =p

i'm a fan of boukenger mechas, but unfortunately i didn't managed to get the ultimate daibouken minipla...

hey, the kyoryujin minipla looks so cool, the proportion is better than the DX as always, but why bandai makes the arms less articulation. what a pity...

You have fine taste in minipla, my friend. Nice to see some under-appreciated gems like AbarenOh and Siren Builder!

I suggest looking for Zubaan too. The stickers on that figure are so tight that I was physically unable to remove them without causing damage and there is not as much building involved as other minipla. Good luck on finding Ultimate Daibouken! It's well worth the trouble to find it.

Still holding out hope that Kyoryuger minipla aren't as nerfed as it seems.

oh, I already got the Zubaan from a local toyshop last week. The box was a little damaged in some areas but the content still perfect, and yeah the sticker couldn't be removed easily.

Very nice! Don't give up yet though, Ultimate Daibouken has shown up on EBay and Mandarake a few times in the past year. I'll PM you if I happen to see it again.

It is a superglue. it is a little fragile must be careful when move the joint.but it ok if you do not move it to wrong position. :rolleyes

I see, putty might make it more secure me thinks. I have crapton of extra polycaps laying around, I'll probably experiment with those one of these days.

Yes i think Putty is more strong than superglue next time it break apart, i will change to putty to i think.:D

Yeah I just finished building mine's (Kyoryujin) as well and it's my first model/minipla. So the question being, where should I look for finding good elbow joints to implement into Kyoryujin? Haha

Umm yeh no thanks. Those things dont look great, does nothing more than the DX (other than have a handy stand for items when not in use?) and cost way more. Not like today where getting the miniplas at least guarantees more articulation.
