I'll wait for the inevitable Steam Sale. 30 bucks for 4 hours of gameplay and only Autobots playable is a little bit too much for me.
Seriously though, how can you make a Transformers game and not add a Decepticon campaign? |

No, I don't buy that. I rather think Hasbro wanted this ready and didn’t care, so Platinum never had a chance to make a Decepticon-campaign. Or its DLC later on, wouldn’t put that past Hasbro. Anyways, it's a huge bummer for me since I favor Decepticons over Autobots. @Topic: Amazon.jp has finally updated their listings of MP-28 & 29 with high quality pictures, if you want those head over there. With the better pictures I noticed how Shockwave’s gun-hose is segmented/coiled, that’s great! I feared it might just be a simple rubber/plastic hose, but this looks really stable. |
Well, I think it's for the better. It makes everyone feel unique and keep things a lot more interesting.

Decepticon DLC later on would be fun, but I'm okay with the content right now. |
Transformers Devastation looks like it's tons of fun! Dad's staying in California right now so perhaps he'll buy it for me when he visits again.
|
And now we're seeing Titans Return figures!
Leader (?) Galvatron being the biggest highlight for me. I also love that Skullcruncher. I've been enjoying this break from buying Transformers, but next year I see myself going strong on them again. Just loving the look of the line's start. |

These look great overall. I think I'm most excited for Skullcruncher and Hardhead, I've been hoping to see the return of Headmasters for a while.
I'm a little conflicted on Galvatron and Blaster. Galvatron looks great, but the more I look at him the less impressed I am. The hollow arms are pretty bad, I mean they're always unappealing on a figure but they seem particularly noticeable on Galvatron. His cannon is also way too big. I'm liking him overall though, the leg design in particular looks good. Blaster looks pretty good, but I feel like he's kind of an unusual choice for such a big character. I also wish his head were based more on his cartoon design than the original toy. Other than those minor things though I like him. I think I'm actually more excited for the little Rewind than either Galvatron or Blaster. He definitely looks MTMTE inspired which is great, and just looks like a fun little toy. With the focus on Headmasters, hopefully we'll be getting a new Chromedome to go along with him! |
Skullcruncher is a surprising choice, but I'm not against it.
Unfortunately, the rest of the display isn't impressive to me. I'm not feeling another Windblade release, Galvatron doesn't look too impressive to me, and I'm just not interested in Blaster. |
Skullcruncher- YES, Bring us Mindwipe, Squeezeplay and Horri-Bull!
Thunderhoof- YES, more Cons! Quillfire- YES, love the brown! Fracture- YES, just YES Blue Drift- SO MUCH BETTER THAN ORANGE! Rewind- Meh. But hopefully he guarentees a new Chromedome down the line. Love Chromedome's G1 toy. |
Not gonna lie, Hasbro's NYCC reveals look pretty damn good.

I’m heavily disappointed. Mostly because I don’t care about most of these characters from the Titan-line, Blaster is too big and Galvatron… yuck. Hollow legs and arms, weird kibble arm, the gimmick makes his face look really strange.
I like the idea of a tiny Megatron being the face but that’s about it. Don’t think I buy any of those. Also: It’s another year of a “theme” which pushes gimmicks on characters which never had these abilities in any fiction and we’ll be lucky if there’s any character in this line that isn’t G1. Lack of Beast Wars was to be expected, still sad. More Decepticons for the RID-line is cool, but most toys from that line suck. Don’t think I get any of those either. |
Gotta say, these new reveals are tempting me to break my Transformers embargo (I stopped not because I didn't like them, but I needed to prioritise other lines). I love Blaster, and Skullcruncher looks like it'll be a great buy.

Weapons in game they went all out from dark star sabre of prime to other weapons from prime and plus some primal swords as well
|
Got another Titans Return reveal, Sentinel Prime this time. He doesn't look great unfortunately, that orange is way too bright and way too prominent. The minor yellow and silver isn't nearly enough to break up all that eye-searing neon.
The mold itself isn't so bad though, other than the now all-too-common hollow arms. The fact that he's a triple-changer with shuttle and train modes basically guarantees an Astrotrain repaint. I'm guessing he was the primary intent for this mold in the first place, between those triple-changer modes and the very Astrotrain-esque robot mode silhouette. I'm sure this figure will look much better as Astrotrain than it does as Sentinel Prime. |

Which is sad because the designs from the show are pretty awesome. |
man the more i play devastation the more i loving the game. im still shocked how many weapons design from other transformers universe are in there i mean i have side swipe eqiped with the dark star sabe from transformers prime
|
Hmm, Drift looks good in his stealth color scheme.
Optimus in stealth color looks like he could pass off as Ultra Magnus if his thighs and parts of his torso are red. |

Sentinel Prime is orange as, well an orange but his mold looks fun. Odd arms and pelvis aside I eagerly await why color scheme the Astrotrain version will use.
Personally I'm rooting for toy white rather than cartoon grey. |
So is the PS4 and XO Transformers game worth buying? I forgot that came out today.

Edit: Apparently the second Botcon figure is Tarantulas from Rook. I don't think they could have possibly chosen a worse mold to use. Not that there's anything structurally wrong Rook, it's just that it doesn't bear any resemblance to Tarantulas whatsoever. |
I'm calling it now we going to get the scourge and the sweeps

Oh hell. I might actually be tempted to get that. How much do these box sets usually run for?
