Hopefully they'll follow the actual model now, having smaller claws on the Dramon Killer and not being chromed out.

Suddenly I don't feel so bad about skipping Wargreymon! I guess this means we can expect the price to plummet on the original.

Also, not even sure yet I'd want this new version until we actually see it... but by then, it'd probably be too late to sell it for a decent price... Unless the new one ends up being a web exclusive. Hmmm.. |
If the new one is mass release (doubt it given where it was advertised, but fingers crossed) I'll pick it up. Kinda regret not getting the original.

I just opened my Classic Megaman and yeah…I'm starting to see the issues people have been having with this guy. Compared to the X releases, he certainly feels more fragile. Rush is a pleasant surprise though, I didn't expect him to have as many joints as he does, it's just a bloody shame that he can't assume Slider mode.
In terms of a Megaman figure, I honestly think the model kit by Kotobukiya is superior…but I did get mine from a friend who just wanted it gone, so for the price I paid…I can't complain too badly. |
Got the D-Arts Mewtwo.
This thing is awesome. I'm not a fan of how his hands and arms were handled, but that aside, he's pretty awesome. Mew is absolutely minuscule, but it's still a nice little statue. Looks great posed with my ponies (Shame it can't stand on it's own). Also, for a box of his size (Or, well, thickness), it's kind of moot for the shadow ball to be so flat. |

I know the tail is the reason why the box is so thick, but it just looks like the shadow ball is needlessly thin when the box has plenty of room for it. |

Someone else wants a D-Arts Milotic! We should rally! :lol Anyway, I'm not big in the Kanto starters, either. Though, in terms of starters, I would pick up Feraligatr...yeah. Just him. Right now, though. I want to see a D-Arts Deoxys Attack and Normal formes. |

Feraligatr was simply awesome, I would definitely love to pick him up. I know you said you weren't big on them, but did you get any Kanto starters? Please show us some pics of your awesome Mewtwo, too, if you can. :) EDIT: Quote:

Argh... I sometimes hate the mail here.
I have to pick them up at the commons desk, since that's where things go when shipped to my dorm. But I have to actually get emailed first or they'll say they have nothing. I can see my damn package sitting there. But for some reason I got no email today. So couldn't pick up Mewtwo. >_< |
While it's true that there are figures that I would want more, but Pokémon is such a big thing for me. I plan on buying every single release they throw out there. Unlike Super Sentai or Kamen Rider, there's a lot less room for me to be selective. Unless they're trying to release some really obscure Pokémon for no reason. And then there are some that I just can't see getting releases at all. Ever. Like Ditto. Or Unown.
I have yet to hear anything about ToyArena's stock of Mewtwo coming in and have yet to find one decently priced elsewhere. I've paid for Charizard and Blastoise already. Waiting for Venusaur orders to go up. Hopefully there's time for me to get more money before it does, but seeing as how only Mewtwo and Charizard sold out, I shouldn't have trouble placing an order for Venusaur even if it takes me a while to find the money. |

And yeah, Feraligatr is so cool, I couldn't not pick him up. Unfortunately, I decided against picking up the Kanto starters. Unlike Mewtwo, who's joint cuts in his tail were unavoidable and not all that noticeable, the joint cuts on Charizard and Blastoise were just too much, while Venusaur just doesn't have the articulation I desire for a full priced figure. As for pictures, sorry. While I can take them, I don't have a quality camera. The pictures would just be awful. Of the pictures I took earlier for a friend, this was literally the best one :lol Caution: Pony Butt (I took this one because my friend hates ponies with a passion, and he absolutely despises seeing the ponies sexualized in any capacity :lol) [Oh, and don't worry. This is no worse than what you can see in show] I must say, despite the poor quality, Mewtwo has a beautiful silhouette. Quote:
Especially being one of the few who find more favorite mons in the later gens than the earlier ones. But I was seriously hoping for the starters to include their base form as statuettes. Now I guess I'll cross my fingers for their intermediate form to include the base form. |

Yeah, I was disappointed to see that it was more of a Shadow Disk... Quote:

Now I finally got Mewtwo... And two things came to mind right away.
First, it does seem like his box is way, way too deep. Second, and this is definitely a new experience - he smells. o_O I don't know if it's the paint or what, but there was a very strong odor when I first opened him up. |

Yeah one of the fingers on mine pops off easily, but I'm not too worried about it.
What did freak me out is his right bicep. It was only half on and I was able to pop off the arm at the bicep swivel... and a little piece of shaved plastic fell out. And the entire peg is pretty damn mangled. His arm still rotates, but there's some resistance from the plastic rubbing. And there's a little more give, so it - well, wobbles is a good way to put it. It wobbles if you move the bicep side-to-side thanks to that little piece that got stripped off. But all I have to do is line things up after turning it. But I'm so, so worried it's just going to get worse. |

Mine also has an issue on the right bicep swivel. It just unplugs so easily.
Anyway, that aside, mine doesn't seem to have any problems. No odd smells, not issues with the tail segments or fingers, etc. |
No problems with the bicep swivel on mine. Although the hands/fingers are a nightmare for popping off.

I'm hoping Charizard won't be too hard to get a few weeks after release. I wasn't planning to get him originally but I was impressed enough with Mewtwo to spring for the Kanto starters. Can't really fit him into my April budget though...

And despite my figure's somewhat big problem, I'm still pretty darn impressed with it. The diversity of figure types we're going to get with this line has had me excited for a while. But it's because of that I don't think we can really base Charizard off of Mewtwo. They're just going to be far too different. |
The effect part fits really snuggly on the peg, it's the fingers coming off as you put it on that's the problem :lol
|
Yep, still love them.
http://www.majhost.com/gallery/E-T/C...rts/mewtwo.jpg Even if moving the right arm on mine is a massive, massive pain in the ass. |
I think the only accessory I could've asked for was an alternate head with a set of glowing eyes...

Yeah. the in game's height measurements are insane. Milotic is 20 feet long, Charizard is only 5 feet tall, etc etc.
While I prefer game over anime, Pokemon is a case where I like the anime's scaling. |
Quote:
|
Holy hell. If we do get a Milotic D-Arts that's in scale with Mewtwo and the starters, it would literally be 4 times larger than all of them :lol
That's crazy. |

I wonder if they'll be smart enough to release shiny versions as web exclusive or something. Although....I could see them being lucky draw or some really hard to find method. I would LOVE to have a Shiny Mewtwo D-Arts. Charizard too. |
