Hasbro isn't going to talk about stuff not announced. Heck, look at when they announced series 3, only like 2 months prior to release. I am sure they are being strategic with the brand and dont want to talk about stuff they arent ready to release.

It's a shame ZeoRangerV didn't ask if they plan to do Lightning Collection MMPR Red Ranger with a larger white diamond on his chest. It just doesn't look right.

One issue I just realised with Zeo Blue that he shares with Dino Charge Red: while the arsenal he comes with is very solid (and seemingly well done), he doesn't come with his signature weapon.

The MMPRs and Psychos have been very good about coming with their signature weapons (Psycho Blue's axe, MMPR Red's power sword), and the LG and BM rangers don't have any individual signature weapons to worry about. So this is just a shame for the Zeo and DC rangers really.

That means he has a WAY greater loadout than I think any individual LC figure so far barring stuff like the Jason 2-pack! Looking at it all in all:-

- civilian head
- extra pair of hands
- effect part
- sword
- gun
- two tonfas

That's... incredible.

Other good things to note: it appears his pairs of hands are for once matching; one pair of fists, one pair of weapon-holding hands. The colour guide also notes that his gold is the exact same one used on Zeo Gold -- which, okay, makes sense; but still super nice to see considering how nice the gold was on that figure.

Apparently, LC figures starting with Wave 4 are going to go from $20 to $21.50.

Seeing as Zeo Blue comes with more than previous figures and is more comprehensive (his two pairs of hands are also matching), this seems to be "pay more for more stuff"; and is directly going towards a bigger budget. So I'm very cool with that.

The kicker is that it's -still- less than Legacy, lol.

I am pretty sure that Hasbro made the conscious decision to keep the diamonds on the upper torso, above the joint. If you look at some of the prototype pics of Kimberly, you can see that the middle diamond was larger and meant to extend down onto the lower torso. When the final was released they changed it. Maybe to save costs, maybe to keep the design from being broken up when posing.

What I am shocked out with the reveal of wave 4 is that we have to wait until Fall 2020 for them. That seems like a LONG time between waves. Waves 1 - 3 all hit within 9 months (wave 3 being slated for December). Plus we had a fair amount of exclusives in there too. Now there will be a 9 month wait between wave 3 and 4?

This, combined with the price increase, makes me think that the line isn't doing as well as was expected, but still doing well enough to continue on. Seems Hasbro will be doing smaller runs which increase the price per figure. However, Zeo Blue does come with a fair amount of stuff. Far more than the Legacy version did.

I do wish the pod sword came in a holstered mode, but I think that will be an issue with many side arms throughout this line. So many of the power rangers weapons have alt forms, but at least Hasbro works them in when they can, like with the power axe.

I wish, but Hasbro clarified and said it is in fact fall 2020. They claim there will be some stuff between now and then, like the exclusives and 2 packs. Hopefully the exclusives are fan channel and not just gamestop.

Yes, I know it's bonkers for them to have said this, but the main Lightning Collection Wave 4 is officially slated for Fall 2020 with a slight price increase to $21.49 per figure. They have also informed us that they DO plan to have other releases to tide us over in the interim. We don't know what that means, but very likely it means more store exclusives and 2-packs. That's pure speculation from me, but it makes absolutely the most sense.

Man, if a small increase in price means a more complete package, then I'm all for it. That said, with the Fall 2020 timeframe, this probably means some of the Rangers I've been waiting for won't be getting figures for a long time(unless I get lucky with exclusives or packs).

Very tempted to get Blaze, but will see as Beast Morphers continues to air.

Just remember. Wave 3 was originally slated for Q1 2020. Then a December 1st 2019 release, then they started turning up in the wild a day ago. Chances are, the wait won't actually be that long.

Even so, let's assume the best case scenario like this one; where they start showing up 2 months early. That still puts them around July at earliest, which is still -very- far off and a much larger gap than we're used to. Whatever the case is, it still sticks out as odd.

All the talks of wave 4 yet my local Targets are still stuck on wave 1 and my local Walmarts barely have wave 2 in stock.

It's truly one of the most evasive interviews I've ever read. And I follow politics pretty extensively, so that's saying something. :lol

Guys, are the figures really that good? I know that I should not expect a Figuarts quality, but the promotional pictures for the figures looked a bit off, like the figure was melting. Yet I watch MMPRToys' and D-Amazing's videos and they are very solid.

I'm asking because Lightning Collection (or Hasbro era toys) have yet to arrive in my country. The only available way was through middlemen and they'd usually sold out. And when it comes to toys like these, buying them on the spot is more satisfying.

I love D-Amazing's videos, the guy gives off so much positive energy. I'd say Lightning Collection is a an 8/10 line. The sculpts are fantastic. I know some people have complaints about the MMPR helmets, but they look totally fine to me. The articulation is also fantastic. They can do just about anything you want. The accessories are mixed. The civilian heads are fantastic, look super realistic and accurate, no complaints there, but the alt hands can sometimes be lacking. Characters with two weapons sometime only come with one holding things hand, which is frustrating. There's also been some complaints about figures not coming with every single weapon they use and in every single configuration, but that's just a limit of the $20 price point, and the SDCC exclusives prove Hasbro has no issue with giving you absolutely everything if it's possible. Another mixed thing is the paint QC. First wave was rough. Had to return my first Tommy because he had some bad paint splotches. DC Red also had some somewhat sloppy paint on his chest, but it was tolerable. My wave 2 figures all looked great though, and I've heard much less complaints about paint QC from other people with wave 2. On the topic of paint, DC Gold is getting a bit of criticism for having less paint than Red did, lacking the white neck and the silver on the hands. Last problem only some people seem to feel exists. I think the joints can be a bit gummy feeling. While it's better than breaking from being too stiff, it's still a bit weird feeling. Some people aren't bothered by it through. Overall, I'm really enjoying the line, and hope it keeps going for a long time

The recent ones, I think Lost Galaxy Red and Zeo Blue comes to mind. I'd get that Zeo Blue could be a prototype so that can be forgiven. It's also because the figures were sculpted to look like the suits so they'd have those 'wrinkles' and I think it those wrinkles are making the figure looked like it's melting.

I love D-Amazing, and was pleasantly surprised that he started reviewing the Lightning Collection.

No IMO. Compared to other Hasbro stuff like the Star Wars Black Series or even Transformers the Lightning Collection is not very good. I only have one from the first wave so I don’t know if it got better or if I got a real lemon of a figure but the plastic feels very cheap and the paint applications are terrible. I definitely won’t be getting any more of them.

For retail price I’d say check them out yourself but if you're paying import prices I would advise you to be cautions. Maybe try one first but don't order a full wave or something.

I have a substantial Legends collection and I dont think the plastic feels any cheaper than Legends. The exception may be Goldar's gold armor. The paint apps on the ones I have gotten are on par with legends too. I did get one set of the SDCC figures that had splotches so maybe paint QC is a bit lacking.

To me the sculpts are mostly good. I like the suit detail with the wrinkles. The suits on the show had the same look. The proportions are a little off though. It seems the legs are a bit short for the body, but only when in a vanilla pose. The helmet sculpts have been mostly off though. MMPR red, black, green, and pink are all off. White seems correct as do the other seasons. Zeo gold had an off helmet too, but not as noticeable.

Over all, for the price, these are good figures. Everything from Bandai before them was pretty bad. The Legacy collection never looked like adult collectibles to me and looked weird with other lines. If Figuarts were the same price I would choose them, but since they are way more expensive I choose the Lighting collection.

On a couple of occasions, I'd opted out of buying a Lightning Collection figure early on because it looked like crap in the promo images... but then saw D-Amazing's review of it and was like... oh, it's just that Hasbro takes terrible promo photos, I'm gonna buy that after all. :lol

I'd say that the figures look MUCH better in person than they do in Hasbro's photos. They desperately need to higher someone with the patience to pose them in ways that don't look boring and awkward.
