So our villain for this season is an Underground Empire of (presumably) Kajin-people. When was the last time we've had that in prior seasons?

Maskman and Magiranger for sure. Gordom from Boukenger I guess as well? Gedoshuu from Shinkenger I thought of including at first but they're not literally underground and it's more of another realm so my answer for this would be the first three.

Wow. I didn't expect the action to look so different in a 15 second clip.

This is the first time Sentai has had a new action director since Go-Busters, so I did expect a different vibe, but this feels more significant than I anticipated. Hirofumi Fukuzawa never did it for me, so I'm excited to see someone else steering the ship.

You might also include Gorma of Dairanger on a provisional/tangential basis since the Palace didn't rise from the ground till around Ep. 20!

Balban of Gingaman originate from space, but spent a lot of time underwater. As did Matrintis of Goseiger.

The Shadow Line is hard to peg down given the nature of darkness and portals and sinking entire cities underground and erasing them from the social consciousness.

Interesting how the mechs have small splashes of paint on them. I wonder if thats significant to the story.

Dragonfly has green patches, Mantis has pink eyes, Butterfly has metallic blue highlights and you can see bits of silver on Kuwaga.

IIRC, in an interview the toy designers said all those paint patches are battle damage

That trailer was awesome! Looks like Final Fantasy XVI as a Sentai. Here are my observations based on the new information:

Sakanashi Yume's and Teramoto Shougo's first full-time role as a Ranger. They're the suit actors for Kamakiri-Ohger and Hachi-Ohger respectively. Always good to see some new faces behind those suits.

Hachisuka Yuichi's first new role as a Ranger in a decade since Yellowbuster. He's mostly been playing female villains for a while but now he's back as Papillon-Ohger. Good luck guessing the character's gender now!

Second Yellow Ranger named Ran since Gekiranger.

Gira's name sounds similar to Gii-chan, the pet kabuto beetle of Momoi Tarou.

Way too early to decide on favorites yet, but I think Kaguragi looks like he could be a very entertaining character to watch, judging from his bio of being a con and his body language.

A green grasshopper ranger would be awesome

I'm afraid of a grasshopper, the riders would definitely not forgive.

The Riders can have their revenge by making a red agent Rider.

I don't know how I feel about going back to a more traditional Sentai when Donbros broke certain molds.

Huh, that does make sense. It would be a pain for a production such as this franchise to try and meet tight deadlines while trying to isolate the actor and suit actor wearing predominantly green. I wonder if they used the stuff from Mandalorian it would solve that problem.

The grey Kuwagata Ohger is named Oo-kuwagata Ohger, or Great Kuwagata Ohger for a lack of better translation.

I think the last time we've seen a Recolour of Red on the main team is ZyuOhger, with Zyuoh Bird being an orange repaint of Zyuoh Eagle.

Mind you, there were also the Ryusoulger Masters.
