I can't really comment on the placement since I've only seen one of the suits in action, and I'm shocked with the variant they went with. I wish the Double X was on there though.

You don't, really. Washing off the mold release is only important if you're painting it. As long as you have sprue cutters to cut the parts and tweezers or a toothpick to apply some of the smaller stickers, you're all set. Just build it exactly as the manual says.

You need to open the box.
