I normally dont like loud kids that become Superheroes but Kou I dont mind.
Watched the next few Episodes and liked em as well. Won Tiger is really cool even though the Tiger looks absolutely stupid when he runs. The Episodes of Jin are so...Inoue. They are not really bad but you can clearly tell that he wrote them xD |

Goseiger Epic 15:
Wow, now that was a good episode! A perfect end to the series where the bad guy blows up and the world is safe... Wait a minute, THAT WAS ONLY EPISODE 15?! |

Epic 11. Megaforce is honestly baffling. Why would they skip this episode? I assumed that Drake (what was he called in Megaforce? He was so insignificant I can't even remember his name) just wasn't a very active part of Goseiger which is why he wasn't in like eighteen of twenty episodes. He had basically a single episode involving him, one where he died, and thanks to terrible editing its place in the story made no sense. For whatever reason Megaforce left the roles of Dereputa and Buredoran largely intact, albeit compressed, but then completely cut out the role of the most important villain of this section of Goseiger. Whaaat? Whhhy? And if you were going to do that, why introduce him like he was the main villain of the show? Vrak's importance wasn't a twist, because for about fifteen of the twenty episodes he was the only general level villain in the show. Gaaaah, Goseiger's goodness only makes Megaforce's shittiness shittier. Datas Hyper was also super cool. As far as comic relief robots go, Datas is actually useful so I don't find him that annoying and the fact he turns into a giant boxing robot, that looks like a throwback to the classic sentai robo designs pleases me in so many ways. If I was going to have any complaints, as far as a character focused ep goes, the character stuff in this episode was pretty weak. The cold open of Moune dancing gave me the same creepy voyeur feeling as when Amy rode on that unicycle, and that was about the end of her out of suit focus. I loved how she got to be especially badass in suit as this was her episode - seriously how good was the action in this episode? For a show that was introduced as light hearted and goofy, I never expected to find some of the flashiest and most well done fights in the franchise - but from a show that has largely strong characters, this was a poor effort for Moune. Plus, for a show that has largely managed to stay focused on the bigger picture, this episode felt selfishly small. I know that it is a little girl (cry audience, don't you feel the wrath of this cheap device?!) but if her operating theatre is down, so are all the others, so the fact Datas focuses the power only to one theatre is actually pretty unheroic, as they directly choose who lives or dies. |

But wih Goseiger, Brajira's backstory and motive and overall existence seems like it's coming from left field, BUT! Remember, Brajira is a Fallen Gosei Angel and a very skillful one. The Goseigers are strong, but they're still rookies and yet they destroyed 3 factions. I see Brajira's faction-hopping as Buredoran as him buying his time and making sure he had all the resources and knwoledge possible to destroy the world. Brajira could have easily crushed Warstar, the Yumajuu and Mechatlantis (I forget the name of that faction sometimes) single handedly. Also consider the bases of operation: Orbit, Underground, and and underwater robot science factory city. Brajira had perfect veiw of where he could drop his death spikes and how deep they'd need to go before he went to have th built. He hung out with 3 groups of losers so he could use their resources and then let the Goseigers dispatch them when they outlived their usefulness. And then there's the reason why he didn't just do this from Epic 1: With the Tower of Heaven destroyed and only five Gosei Angels on Earth, he could force them into becoming strong enough that he could do to them what he did to his own team but without worrying about being overpowered. Then he could destroy the world, freak out Gosei World, and then when the other Angels finally are able to (if ever) get to him, he'll be a dark super soldier in power that no amount of playing cards can stop him. But that's just my interpretation. I'm probably missing some details as to why that wouldn't work... Quote:

Epic 12 aka more footage Megaforce skipped for reasons that I'm sure will never make sense.
Dunno who it says more about that our rookie angels are making the planet conquerors pull out their big guns! Nah, just joking, I think this show handled the whole Rocky plot arc very well, all things considered. And I love the way it plays with the genre, without insulting it to seem edgy, at the same time. The flashbacks with Dereputa and Drake were cool as well, even if the Warstars themselves are poorly handled over all. How fucking cool was it when they tried to destroy the planet with the moon?! And how funny was it when Dereupta said 'what kind of monstrosity is that?!'. We were all thinking the same thing! Hyper Gosei Great is a right mess. I'm gonna miss these guys, and if Megaforce is anything to go by, the villains never get cooler than the Warstar aliens. |
I don't know, I like Biggs. The Yuumanjuu are short-lived but I like'm.

Epic 13.
Honestly I'm kinda glad Megaforce skipped this, this was probably the worst episode of the show so far. Perhaps unsurprising being that it is an Eri focused episode, who finally finds a character, but still manages to be the worst of the Goseigers and the only member of the team I dislike. Also wow Drake came off badly in this episode. Drake's plan failed and Dereputa got killed but rather than kicking it up to the top gear...he just goes back to sending soldiers down one at a time? What an idiot! And with the way he bullies Buredoran, it just makes him appear more incompetent. We are THIRTEEN episodes in! He is easily the worst of the three Warstar generals. And, as ever, the fight scenes are just awesome. Buredoran got involved in the fight! Also the Goseigers are probably the most badass hippies in the history of everything. Although Mystic Brother was so shit, and so was the combination. About the only good thing about the combination is seeing Gosei Great without the wings. It looks a lot better without them. Wasn't Kawaridane just on the tenth episode of Gaim? |
I believe so, yes. And I agree with you about Eri (Sorry Suzu), she's the weakest of the team. I don't hate her.. I just wish she was a little better.

Epic 14.
This episode makes me sad. Creepox was just a throwaway character in Megaforce with a rocking design. As with many things I just thought that was because of Goseiger but here we really see that there is fallout from his death (even if it isn't taken to as interesting places as it could be, but I peg that down to how poorly realised the Warstar are) and we get a brand new badass because of it - just a shame he only lasted a single episode, but I'd rather swift pace than loads of padding. The only confusing thing is that Satellite (I'm sorry, it's easy to remember the English translations rather than the long chain of Japanese words that are only used once per episode) seems stronger than Drake, yet his motivation is to become his right hand man? And now the Goseigers have beaten him, they are the strongest players on the board now surely? Does this show hate Moune? This show makes her look like a really annoying person to be around. First she had that episode focused on her where she spent it fighting with Eri, and now they're doing the same episode again only with Hyde. It even ended in the same way. |
Sometimes it feels like it. But then you look into her eyes and you forget what it was you were mad at in the first place. Cause Moune.

Epic 15.
From a narrative standpoint this wasn't great, but from an entertainment spectacle, Drake is so badass! I'm glad the show is back to fucked up super villain plans and making it feel like the whole world really is in danger. Although why does Drake eat the bat thing? Also, he looks way cooler without those gayass wings. Mystic Brother may suck, but seeing Datas get the power to fly up to the mothership and box it made Mystic Brother feel pretty win in my book. Just a shame everything Datas does is so short lived and just acts as a starter before the stacked abomination of Gosei Hyper which looks like absolutely shit. It's amazing that Goseiger can tell a more satisfying story in fifteen episodes, than Megaforce could do in twenty. Next up, those mutant dudes and Gosei Knight! So what is the story behind Goseiger? Why'd the production team decide to have so many villains? If I was to have any complaints, it'd be that shit about football. Why did they pad the episode with kids playing football, again? |
Epic 16.
This episode was just fantastic. Alata proved to the world why he isn't a shit red - like seriously, even outside of this episode, why so much hate? Sure Alata is a bit of a weirdo but he loves his team, is an incredible fighter, a strong leader and has a huge heart, I can't think of a better Red. He genuinely feels right as the leader of his team (most sentai I have seen, I have thought the team had much better candidates for Red [Daigo, Ryuu etc]), and he always feels like he gets by on strength of character, not colour of suit - Dereputa returned in a fashion truly fitting for a king such as himself and the action was just stunning. Loved, loved, LOVED this episode. |

And your right. If GoseiRed was a more... stern and serious character then Agri or Hyde would have been Leader. But Alata's happy demeanor and compassionate heart breaths a breath of fresh air between two more serious "traditional" Red senshi, Takeru and Marvelous, who are apparently better just because they're not a happy-go-lucky as the Skyick Power or Storms. Alata's a freaking badass and don't you forget it! |
And now you're approaching Gosei Knight.
I'm curious over your thoughts on him. |

Epic 17.
I'm glad Goseiger made the Mutants feel like real threats, something Megaforce could never do. And at least, unlike the Warstars, they have actual context and an actual plan. Plus, I liked how the Goseigers had to investigate the monsters with their own unique abilities and didn't just jump cut straight into the next battle. With different arcs of villains, and a team that can stand unique as well as together, this show feels less like sentai and more like a live action anime. But Gosei Knight...hmm. I dunno how to feel? I mean the fighting is stellar regardless, but I really liked RoboKnight and it's hard not to feel like Gosei Knight is just sorta bland and generic in comparison. Also Buredoran's Mutant form is kinda crappy looking. |
Goseiger Epic 16:
Holy shit, now that was a good one! Although I called Deraputa's return I still felt the terror of it when they revealed him and that final fight between him and Alata... AWESOME! Alata is easily one of if not my favorite Red Rangers ever. He's just so incredibly awesome! Now then, from what I saw in the promo for the next episode... soon. :D |
Goseiger Epic 17:
GOSEI FUCKING KNIGHT! That is all. |

I absolutely loved Knight. |

Right so I've pretty much decided I'm gonna finish Goseiger, I might check out a flick between this episode and the rest of the season but either way.
Epic 18. Wow Gosei Knight is both more complex and more badass than Robo Knight in only a single episode. I also love how he is basically Captain Planet, if Captain Planet was a terrorist, who looked like a Kamen Rider. Makes me wonder why they added Gia wanting to bang him in Megaforce, as it went nowhere and isn't in the sentai either. The Yuuma monsters are way more interesting than the Yuuma Generals. Especially Buredoran, he looked so much cooler as a Warstar. I've really enjoyed both of the week monsters so far for the Yuuma though, with them being surprisingly intense while still utilising pure comic book villain schemes. Although the actual forms looked really crappy, I did like the concept of them swapping the order of the Headders to make different versions of the Gosei Great. That is really a more fun gimmick than the Headders themselves and that's only just been included in the show. I kinda wanna buy myself a Gosei Great now just to collect the Headders and make cool forms. |

And I like that you've enjoyed Gosei Knight. He's far superior to Robo Knight's knockoff Robocop personality. |
