So today i have what i think will be the most broken poke ive had in awhile. My friend had a spare froakie with protean. It was so much fun to ev train and it basically tore up the 7th gym like nothing just now, so much fun to use.

I've been trying to use a lot of pokemon and rotate them out constantly towards endgame to try to keep the game moderately difficult. Instead of over leveled pokeom given to me near beginning of the game with three having Mega Evolutions (My team of Greninja, Charizard, , Blaziken, Lucario, Snorlax and Meowstic), I'm swapping out with some Pokemon I haven't either used because I skipped Gen 5 or haven't at all.

Finally found some rain and evolved my Sliggoo =] Also went round collecting the megastones last night. Have all of the ones obtainable in Y except Kangaskhan as I ran out of time. Also managed to get a slurpuff off of GTS as it was the only pokemon bar Xerneas that I hadn't seen.

Oh and got a Japanese Houndour, and all he wanted was a ditto =D

Finally beat the Elite 4. First time too!

Also, caught Mewtwo in a Dive Ball. I was aiming for a premier ball or normal pokeball, but meh.

Hmm, you mean this is the first time you beat the Elite 4 in any game?

Catching a legendary in a dive ball is no easy feat, it will look so neat when you send it out.

Finally did my first Wonder Trades!

Really didn't get anything too amazing...

But I did get a Charmander, which I still needed. And a Japanese Pikachu, Weedle, and Scyther.

Just beat the league and I'm a bit underwhelmed really, so much as I'd call it the weakest league out of every game so far.

4 Pokemon per member is a pretty pathetic offering, and the only Pokemon the champion the had which didn't get one hit KO'd was her last one.

I know I'm getting older and I did have about a 10 level advantage simply because of how experience works in this game, but I'd at least expect the best trainers in the region to have 5-6 Pokemon...

Literally nobody in the damn game has 5-6 Pokémon except 6 Magikarp guy, Diantha, and your rival. It's sad and pathetic. I've ranted about it here and elsewhere way too much to go into it again... But it is probably the most disappointing part about the game to me. It just made it too goddamn easy.

I completely agree. I though the gym leaders having 3 was pathetic enough but I expected more from the Elite 4.

I just remembered something that really bugged me when games like HGSS and BW came out, Shellos. They said in DP's pokedex that Shellos has a different color in different regions but they never actually took advantage of that, it annoys me.

If that to work all region would need to be remade so it includes that feature

If I recall, Black and White's E4 only had 4 Pokemon, too.

It was easy, but I didn't think it was disappointing...

After looking it up, yeah you're right. I must have forgotten about that.

Oh well, that's just another "too easy" complaint I can add to gen 5.

My biggest hope for the future is that games will have the ability to hold more than one save file.

I've beaten the Elite 4, I'm proud of my team & trying out the available postgame stuff but at the same time part of me also wants to just start all over again because it was so fun getting to this point.

Does anyone know how you start a supposed Looker subquest in the post-game

There's a second game you can go out and buy.
I mean, yeah, it's spending $40 to replay a game without losing your save data, I understand, but I really don't think they'd ever allow for multiple save files.

trying to figure out Hoardes now that I have the time. at first Sweet Scent would bring them out but now it doesn't seem to work. Can it only be used a few times in a certain area?

Tierno gives you honey for that purpose, but I don't know if you can get more.

Me too, and I did have a bit of trouble with the Champion's Mega Gardevoir who took out three of my team.

Thanks for the warning, will avoid Wonder Trade until this is addressed.

To do that, you need to first have started the Mega Stone search quest with the sundial. Play Battle Maison a few times until your rival arrives at Kiloude City. Then defeat her/him, and s/he will tell you to go visit Sycamore at 8-9pm. Talking to him activates the Mega Stone search.

Once this is done, Looker will contact you on the Holo-caster the next time you enter Lumiose City.

By the way, as a tip, bring a Flying Pokemon that knows Fly with you when you do the quests. This is because Looker gives you quest after quest and sometimes you want a break. The way to avoid the next quest after finishing one is to fly away from Lumiose immediately after the quest, because walking around Lumiose triggers the next quest.

I think we've seen it before, but it's always good for another post. :D

That Gardevoir was probably the only dificult Pokemon in the whole game. ...With a tiny exception for me being a Pachirisu but i'm not going to open up that wound.

How could this go wrong
