Seriously guys, it's just a design, some are into it others not, doesn't seem youll get anything from dragging it out.

I love all the mobile suits ugh they were so great and so modern while using the core... (F... I forgot the name of it) but the trans am booster/solar power thing as the main torso.

The only that didn't really wow me in terms of Design was Kyrios and the later upgrades.

It's an alternate head form for Harute called the Marute mode, whenever Halleujah and Soma Pieres take control of Alleujah and Marie.

And those ones look ridiculous, too.

They almost all have "skirt" armor, crests, and vents that look like a samurai's layered armor. Even if they aren't samurai-like in fighting style, the design elements are there. I'd hazard a guess that in Japan, samurai-like design features are associated with warriors in general.

I do have an HG Star Build Strike which I intended to do up in the RG system version colors. But now that I have this, it looks like I won't need to worry about finishing it.

Suppose I could strip the paint and do something else with it...I've been going over what a Dark Star Build Strike would be like with black and the RG System parts painted metallic red.

Skirts, something commonly accociated with women, are fine. Moustaches, facial hair typically displayed on men and a sign of increased masculinity, are not.

Again, most Gundams have beards.

But they're not samurai. It's still just as irrelevant a design choice.

Dragons are also considered Gods and holy spirits in Japan, and royalty often grew moustaches. Turn A's supposed to be Godly-powerful, and even his name references the "Universal quantifier" of physics.

I must admit TryOn 3 really brings out the inner young child of everyone if you ask me. It hit's all the right spots, my second favorite mobile from Build Fighters totally.

No double standards involved. Most Gundam designs glean the best parts of samurai armor, but the Turn A uses the one lame part. And like you said, SOME samurai had mustaches on their masks, not all.

That's great, but the only place that the supposed dragon motif is seen is in the 'stache. If there were other dragon elements, I'd see where you're coming from. Like I said earlier though, the mustache needs to fit the aesthetic.

Also, Skirts are pretty lame, too. Kind of a useless design choice on a robot. Why not have just normal hips? And again, BEARDS. ALL GUNDAMS HAVE BEARDS. Bright red ones, typically. But that's okay?

It does fit the aesthetic.

Fits it more than, say, the V-crest on RX-78. The moustache is still curved and sweeping, like the lines and angles on Turn A. There's virtually innumerable blocky Gundams randomly sporting sharp V-crests directly against their aesthetic.

In fact, you still haven't answered me: why is the moustache bad, but not the forehead crests? It's literally the exact same deal, just below the eyes.

Is there a Tryon kit that actually combines?

It protects the otherwise exposed hip joints. The joints are the weakest part of a robot, and protecting them is a must on a fighting mech.

The moustache is worse than the v-fin because of the negative space left over. It just has a big plain dome for a head, not even a forehead camera. The gundams with v-fins have those little cheek machine guns providing detail around the face so that doesn't look blank. If there was a vent or sensor or something on the forehead, the Turn A would look a bit better.

I think you're forgetting what Turn A looks like.

The lack of anything huge on the forehead is a plus. Who says it needs some useless crap up there when it's got enough flare on the head?

To be fair to SEED most of the similar looking suits are based on each other.*The GAT-X series are all based on Duel,Akatsuki and Impulse on Strike,Astray on Red Frame etc...*

Says reality. Even if it's drifted away from it, Gundam was, and to a loose extent still is, a Real Robot series. As in it tries it's best to be technologically feasible. And on actual, real-life robots meant to function out in the real world, the joints are almost always protected with something to keep them from getting damaged. And a mech suit designed to fight other mech suits that are most likely shooting and stabbing at it would very likely have armor plates covering the major joints where possible. Skirt armor, shoulder pads, kneecaps, ankle guards, etc. The fronts of the elbows aren't protected because that would be almost impossible to do without hindering the joint itself.

I've never noticed the A before, that does help with the look. It's still not one of my favorites, but I retract my original opinion on the MS.

Build Burning in BF Try is a RG right? It has to be since it has inner frames instead of your normal HG kit.

I mean shoot hey Bandai I'll buy 10 RG Build Burning kits from you guys.

Only problem is, Gundam is very not real-world. Robots cannot exist at that size.

I don't really have much to say but that this design made me laugh for some reason or another.

Also since we're talking about Turn A, all I can really say about it that while a solid design, it just makes me want nonexistent gunpla. Mostly because when I first saw it I thought it had these things on its shoulder pads which were just a bunch of tubes going all the way down its hands, and I just imagine them being able to fold in front of it to act as a shield, or just be used as a shield in general. Also since split pointed out the Samurai look of it, I know what a gundam with a liftable visor, that looks pseudo knightish, but not really knightish, also a gundam covered in vents because vents.

Also Turn x is actually really really cool looking, and I want it now.

Every pic I've seen makes the forehead crest look off-center. Like, every single pic. Why? Is it really off-center?

It's the main aspect of a RG kit so I would say yes. There hasn't been a single HG kit that has inner frames like RG kits do.

Bandai is false advertising this show was made to sell kits and now it's confirmed Build Burning is a RG kit in the show. I demand my RG Build Burning now Bandai. :P

in universe it's a HG albeit a highly customized one.
