Build Fighters 04. God the dialogue in this show is so fucking bad, let's stand by a public toilet watching children in the park and dramatically think in my head 'so this is youth'.
Sei is so boring though, Kousaka and he got played for a total bitch in this episode. He may be a good Gunpla builder but he really is utterly useless in every other regard. He isn't dislikeable, but he's just not interesting to follow around. This show has some really imaginative designs considering most of them are never to be seen again as soon as they are introduced. Some of the most crucial Gundam in this show are the least interesting visually. I guess this is due to budgetary reasons but it's still disappointing. I hope we start getting some longer battles at some point too. The story wont change your world, but I do really appreciate how the reality of the situation is always a part of the series. No one wants to rule the world through the use of kids collectables, battles don't result in you dying or whatever else. It's a show with stakes that feel as huge as those, but it still tells a story which actually works within the context of kids playing with models. |
Dokidokie Precure episode 2.
Can I just say Cure Heart is the most loveable kawaii blonde magical girl I fell in love with? |
Build Fighters 05.
That imagination battle had to be the very worst fight in the show, visually it was as impressive as ever - seriously this show is gorgeous, from insane lasers to beautiful robots - but from a narrative perspective it was mind blowing in the most stupid way possible. Still this episode articulated why I love collecting figures in a way I have never really been able to articulate before. I may not play with them like I did when I was a kid but when you buy something like Figuart with all that great detail and articulation it's so great. You can replicate your favourite scenes or simply create new ones. There is no feeling like it. |

He's very endearing, with a character like his it's easy to make him the Yugi Mouto type character how he's pretty much useless unless he has people helping him out or the cooler big brother watching over him. But what I like about him is that Sei isn't totally useless and his relationship with Reiji is very symbiotic. Neither is completely reliant on the other person but they complement each other's skill set well. |

I can't think of any character that isn't in some way likeable. This includes the marry sue Nills and the the bossy Caroline. |
Just watched the first episode of DBKai's Buu saga.
You know it only just dawned on me that i've never watched the beginning of the Buu saga before. |

Just started watching Saint Seiya Omega, since Seiya is an old anime I've never watched but the character keeps popping up in new things here and there. Plus the art style is similar to Casshern Sins (designed by the same guy), so I'm sold.

Things I'm still watching this season:
Brynhildr in the Darkness - definitely my pick of the season so far. I loved Elfen Lied, and this is proving to have the same sense of mystery and intrigue while toning down the violence and nudity a notch (although the last ep suggests that might not last forever). Really looking forward to where this series goes. Captain Earth - still really enjoying it, but finding it hard to get excited about it each week because its just so "Bones mecha show". The ideas are more refined than usual so the story progresses better, but it really does just feel like Eureka Seven and Star Driver smashed together. Or more, Eureka Seven AO if it were a remotely good series. Soul Eater Not! - Enjoyed the first episode, but this show is getting boring pretty quickly. Maka's in this week's though, so hopefully that will spice things up a bit. Kenzen Robo Daimidaler - still batshit insane, but not necessarily in a good way. Avengers Disk Wars - Well, I would be watching this if it were subbed past episode 2 :( Finished up Attack on Titan over the weekend too. Its a beautiful looking series with a great story, but my god it's possibly the worst paced anime I've ever watched. I'm glad I marathoned it rather than watched it weekly. |

Welp, episode 10 of Blue Exorcist introduced Shiro Okumura's familiar & showed me even more of how much of a GIANT DOUCHEBAG that Mephisto is towards Rin Okumura. Also Black Lagoon episode 6 ended up showing that Revy REALLY doesn't like Rock that much cause of his way of thinking being so different also the guy who hired the Lagoon company ended up hiring the Neo Nazi guys aswell, WAT A TWEST :lol.

Finished Log Horizon.
Eh. I didn't really like the boring political turn it took in the second half. Hopefully the second season gets back to the action and actually has them trying to actually get out of the "game" and go home! It bothered me that they just sort of gave up on that so easily, but the ending of the season implies Shiroe was working on that the whole time?? Kind of annoying. |

I honestly don't have a set schedule of what to watch when it comes to anime. I'm a pick bastard when it comes to what I watch in that medium. I only watch (or read) what raises my interest. So yeah. Though as I told a member last night, I think I MAY finally watch Madoka after I finish up Ronin Warriors.

Build Fighters 06.
This may be one of the best episodes of anime I have watched in a very long time. Everything was spot on from the writing, to the music, to the animation, to the action. It was truly wonderful. This show is not without its flaws - it's overly sentimental even by anime standards to points where it actively undermines itself and the dialogue is always pretty awkward even if the actual words themselves are solid - but it's so far been of the best animes I have ever watched. And I don't even like traditional gundam. |

Zeta Gundam 34-36
Wow, the Argama is in shit shape. Shitty kids annoying people, Reccoa being injured, everybody's super stressed. And Mr. Wan thinks they should not take a break. More development from an actual adult relationship and the Argama is having trouble fighting those new Sting Ray mobile suits. 35 and 36 started out odd, as it was a Kilimanjaro attack, and the Hyaku Shiki falls right out of the sky, dragging us back to Earth plots. But hey, Amuro is here! Granted, he's not important to the story, or even piloting a cool mobile suit. He's just sorta there. While I liked this arc, with Four coming back for one last time, it was just a lazy rehash of the original story arc. Spotting of the Psyco Gundam off in the distance, Kamille meets Four(again), she has a lot of headaches, giant box mode attacks, Kamille tries to talk her out of it, robot mode, her death, explosion of a major enemy's location. Exact same fucking thing. Again, I didn't dislike it, but maybe some resolution about Four's identity would have been nice instead of, "The fuck if we know how to restore her memories?" scene. The Zeta fighting against the Psyco was cool to see but other then that, these were just odd episodes. |
Build Fighters 07. Sei's Mum has got it going on.
The pacing was kinda awkward, but a contrived Gunpla Battle over an inn sure took a turn for the epic. If only the actual tournament was this interesting. Hopefully the world tournament will be more exciting. |
After finishing Spice and Wolf, I am moving on to Michiko and Hatchin.

Maaan, Nobunaga is getting better and better with each episode now that we've gotten into the meat of the story.
Quo Vadis, Julius Caesar's mech is probably my favrioute design in the series next to Goku. The coolest thing about it is how it has a giant bad ass knight sword that can also turn into a giant rail cannon: http://benigmatica.files.wordpress.c...pg?w=512&h=288 I know Bandai is making a model kit of the Fool and I prey to some deity that they decide to make models of the other mechs because they're designs are very unlike any other mecha show I've seen. I know if they make a Quo Vadis I'll be all over that like white on rice. |

There is an Anime out there with Caesar piloting a giant robot? |

It's fun, but I'm behind on it. :P |

Every character in Nobunaga the Fool is based on a historical figure. We have Leonardo Di Vinchi the creator of the giant robots. Jeanne Kaguya D'Arc a girl that can see visions of the future. And they're all fighting against King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table from a nearby planet. |
