I don't think they'll take that feature out, it would basically be giving a middle finger to the fans who have put a decade of training into they're Pokemon.

They'll probably just use the same thing they've been using. If they were going to introduce some kind of new concept to transfer Pokemon, they would've likely announced it.

I suspect X & Y transfer will require something similar to the "Time Machine" in the original Gold & Silver games; allows you to trade as long as you don't put in anything that doesn't exist in the previous games.

I didn't mind Girafarig's tail personally....what I did mind was having the creepy thing stare at you when you use it in battle :lol
