Can I suggest you check out GARO if you haven’t already?
It’s a horror-themed toku targeted at an older audience.
It may just be what you’re looking for.

Power Rangers can only go so far.
Its purpose―other than to entertain―is to sell merchandise.
I think the closest Power Rangers could ever get to “mature” is if Akibaranger was adapted.

And of course it is, that's the point. A parody for adult fans of the franchise. The show even blatantly makes it known in the promos for the next episode that kids shouldn't watch it.

Aside from this not even being a question, what does this have to do with PR exactly?

My point was that an adaptation will be the closest Power Rangers will get to being “mature” (more-so than RPM).
And just because Akibaranger is unofficial, this doesn’t mean that its Western counterpart will be treated likewise.
It could easily be tweaked to be an official instalment.

I have a question. I keep seeing these commercials for the Dino Charge toys, and the Chargers seem to take 2 clicks to fully flip the central piece over. Why is the piece done in halves?
