From what I've been told, Kingdom Come was all around awesome.
And I really need to watch that. |

Watched Flashpoint Paradox. Pretty decent DC animated movie but in some place i just ask myself why would they do that. Also since they made this movie does that mean that they are going to use the new 52 looks for their next movies?

The only real problem I had with Flashpoint as an animated movie was that it made certain characters so one note and pointless that their inclusion was just padding (Notably, Hal Jordan in the alt. universe).
I'm interested in War, but I just hope they get the time to tell the story. |

Catwoman is the worst offender. She near date-raped Batman for Christ's Sake. I miss Knights End 90's Purple Suit Catwoman. The strong independant woman who didn't need anyone. This new one they seem to be putting into every fiction (Arkham City/DC Universe Online)? Yea.. She can die now. |

This is what happens when fans grow up and write for their favorite characters.
Frank Miller is the worst offender and easily the best example. He sees his childhood crush as the "Epitome of beauty," thus turning her into a stripper with superpowers. He sees his favorite hero as the "Epitome of awesome," making them infallible titans, and, because they're his favorite, they insert themselves into the shoes of the hero, thus they make their boyhood crush bend ass over backwards to bed the hero. It's clear that when Frank writes Batman, this is EXACTLY how he views it, allowing himself to live vicariously through the ultra badass who women are tossing their panties at. I'd love to see characters return to their stronger days, when their being an independent woman didn't mean they were secretly craving a strong man to bed them. :I As for Barbara, I was never a big Batgirl fan, but from what I've been told by other comic readers, they actually found her to be a better character as Oracle and found others like Stephanie to be better under the Batgirl mantle. |
