Finished Grant Morrisons run on Action Comics today and while its neither the best Superman story nor the best Morrison story I´ve read I really loved it. I´m a sucker for multidimension/time travil stories and I got all of that in here. Plus that Morrison is one of the few writers that really gets what Superman is all about.

The new take on the young Kal-El is also something I enjoyed about the run. There were moments when I thought he was a bit too extreme for my tastes but most of the time I enjoyed where Morrison was going with the character and its a great basis for Clark to grow into the Superman we all know and love.

And then Scott Lobdell was put in charge of Superman and Action Comics, so... :cry

Anyway, I've read Morrison's run twice, and I still haven't totally figured out what I think of it. I'm 90% sure that I loved it.

Except for Morrison and the stuff Geoff Johns is doing right now I have read nothing from Superman so far in the N52 that I actually enjoyed. Is the recent stuff done by Greg Pak any good?

I read the first eight issues a bunch of time but never had a chance to read the rest of it and like pretty much all of Morrisons stuff you have to do alot of work to get behind the story but when you do its so worth it.

I just loved how he uses issue placement to get the reader into the same mindset Superman is so when the revelation hits why the story is so confusing its all the more rewarding.

Greg Pak is one of the best, in my opinion. I've raved about Batman/Superman #16 on this thread specifically for its portrayal of Superman. Greg Pak is highly recommended by me. No question about it.

The trades had the issues out of release order, though.

Then I have another comic book I need to track down now :lol

I knew that 7/8 are supposed to be read before 5/6.
