Thank God Sachika is not going to be a Rider. Not every main character needs to be a Rider. The biggest flaw of the past several seasons is that there are too many Riders. I'm totally okay with Gavv dialing it back some.

Is there any chance for a new female rider to born in V-Cinemas or a crossover with Zeztz?

I could honestly seeing Lizel being a trick out final villain, such as (Spoiler) Kamen Rider Solomon with Nyelv being the true final villain. I would probably just have her be Bitter Gavv or Bake at this point unless she uses a new belt that the true final villain uses. The problem is with the point that we're at, I don't think it would make sense for Lizel to be the final villain nor would it make sense for her to have a brand new belt. And it would also not make sense to add another new half granute half human. I would say maybe Lizel but if not, don't force someone to be a Rider if it wont work for the story, no matter their gender.

I?m super annoyed that they put her in the opening in a way that seems like it foreshadows her being a Rider. Unless she will still be a Rider (somehow). I don?t see that happening at this point but I would?ve loved to see that.

Shouma appears, and the bubble that pops up next to him in his Rider form. Hanto appears at first next to an empty bubble. Once he becomes a Rider, the bubble depicts his Rider form. The third regular character in the credits appears, and her bubble stays empty for the entire show.

My suspicion is that Sachika was originally intended to be the Rider rounding out the show's trio, specifically as the second Vlaam user, and that her default form was intended to be the hot-pink jelly. For a while after Rakia first appeared, the show was making it pretty clear that Rakia using his hot-pink jelly form's power was jeopardizing his life. Then the show abruptly dropped that whole thread.

If what I suspect is correct, my guess is that Sachika was originally supposed to become Vlaam after Rakia's death, but the actor/character proved popular enough for the show to keep him around (and try to awkwardly shoehorn him into the credits), so the notion of Sachika becoming Vlaam was scrapped.

Pure speculation, of course, but it would fit the discrepancy in the opening credits and the sudden abandonment of the "Rakia's jelly form is damaging his heart" plot.

I'm torn, because on the one hand Gavv not having a female rider feels like a step backwards and it does seem like there was setup for Sachika to become one, not just the opening and the stuff with Lakia's heart but also how she kept showing willingness to fight even though she was outclassed.

But on the other hand, Sachika has been kind of a masterclass in how to make a non-Rider character still relevant to the story and a valuable ally, and between emotional support, information gathering and problem-solving I don't think she really needs to fight directly too.

If I had to choose, yeah I'd want her to become a rider somehow, but if Gavv is the first Reiwa without a female rider then at least it'll have a really great heroine to make up for it.

I also wouldn't rule out Lakia's heart thing popping up again, Gavv so far hasn't left many loose threads and between his current arc about confronting his past, his upcoming new form, and Nylev stepping more into the spotlight, there's plenty of ways it could become relevant again...

The problem with this theory is that Gavv finished shooting several months ago. Half of the series was filmed before it began airing, with Lakia's redemption arc having finished well before the halfway mark. The newest episodes were likely shot back in December, around the time his introduction aired.

I feel like Gavv's kind of a step backwards in a lot of ways. As much as I love Sachika (she's great but it feels like she's still being limited by the writing), we only have her, Glotta, and Lizel for female characters in the show. Lizel only just showed up and she's alright so far. So that meant due to Siita's death early on, we only had Sachika and Glotta for a while with the latter... kinda just not making many meaningful appearances throughout most of the show until recently. I'm interested in seeing where Glotta goes but like...

The lack of female presence in the show, especially when compared to Gotchard (love it or hate it, that somehow had a more balanced ratio of male to female cast members) and the lack of a female Rider after all these years, I'd definitely push it as a point against this show despite it's mostly solid consistency.

Because I do enjoy Gavv, though it's far from perfect and it being the first show Toei's done advanced shooting for definitely shows in its structure.

Who wants to see Rakia and Sachika as a potential couple? Unlike how Bouche & Michiru who brought out Shoma due to being a mistress, Rakia and Sachika would be bonded out of true love for a human & Granute and have their future child right!
