Why is that an excuse? A season should still have a clear act structure, and most importantly resolution, even if it plans to be spread into multiple seasons. The first season of Attack on Titan was just like one long boring single episode.

I didnt say the show had great pacing but the last Episode ending on a cliffhanger and leaving you with more questions is part of being a televised show. |

I loved Yesterdays episode of Blue excorsist.

Blue Exorcist is a show I've been meaning to watch forever, might have to pick it up on Bluray.

Attack on Titan stopped there because that is the end of the story arc. The next chapter in Volume 8 starts the next arc. The anime will continue soon enough. I'd rather the show NOT Have any bull**** filler. |

I'm watching Sailor Moon again to get hyped for my Moon Stick arriving and the new anime!
As for Attack on Titan, I'm sort of with Locke. I've never seen the anime, but I dropped the manga a couple of months ago because I just lost interest because it was so damn slow. Every single chapter raises new questions and you get answers so rarely its difficult to stay invested. Comics like MTMTE have really turned me off that crap because once you see how good a comic can use the monthly progression, its difficult to defend those that can't manage it well; I shouldn't need to wait two years for the story to meaningfully progress. Maybe I'll pick it back up later when there's a lot of chapters I haven't read yet so I don't have the frustration of very little happening every month, but we'll see. |
I really really really loved Attack on Titan on my first run on that anime. I even marathon it again when it went up on Netflix. Anyways after rewaching it out of boredom I can tell what people mean by the pacing and such and I agree a bit. As for the ending of the anime, you kinda have to realize Attack On Titan was either going to be a hit and run, they had no idea if it was going to be a big hit or a huge total junk. So they left things open for a possible season 2, which will happen in 2015.
Currently watching Fuari Wa Precure episode 9. I hope things gets picked up with the action, because so far with these precures all I've been seen is them doing their finisher on the enemies a lot. Doki Doki Precure episode 35. Everyone is gaining new abilities which is neat. |
Also ant attack on Titan ment to be a mystery seris

This what a friend of mine said about it. "That's exactly why it's bad. SnK was always a mystery manga with the threat of titans only compounding humanity's inherent need to wipe itself out. The anime turned it into a gory Michael Bay spectacle and annoying tumblrkin jumped on board with retarded shipping and glorifying irrelevant side-characters. There's a reason why anime fans and manfa fans can't meet eye to eye and that's because they aren't following the same series. Anime fans want more "boompowrawrohnotitansmuhrage" while the manga has a lot more than that. You'd get it if you read it." And mainly reads mAnga

Do you not watch Game of Thrones? It is the same thing. The show will be back to tell more of the story, what difference does it make if it helps keep the show at a decent length? Attack on Titan is based on a manga. Do you dislike Fairy Tale because they took a long break so they wouldn't have to create their own filler garbage? Series based on mangas have three fates these days. The first is to give the show so much filler than it completely ruins the enjoyment of the show like Bleach and Naruto. The second is to write up a bullshit ending that makes it pointless to have ever done the series like Claymore, Blue Exorcist, Ouran Host Club, etc. The third is to break the series up into arcs and tell the anime as they can to keep it true to the source material. It isn't rocket science, as the later is the better option. Would you rather they waited until the entire manga was done in five years time, then animate the whole thing under a rushed schedule, which causes the animation quality to take a dip? Not to mention adapting the series when it has lost its momentum? Now I will agree that the pacing is off in the anime, but even the first volume was pretty slow moving. Everything gets moving in the second volume, which is the start of episode six of the anime. And then from Volume 4 on the manga is just down right incredible. It is full of suspense, horror, mystery, and action. |
I'm really enjoying Nobunaga the Fool. It's exactly the type of series I needed to watch as a refresher from the heavier things I've been viewing.

Also, your point is valid if lacking a certainly eloquence in putting it across but your point still falls flat that the next season of Attack on Titan is coming out TWO YEARS after the first season. That is worse than fucking Megaforce. |
Attack on Titan episode 1
Well , looks like I'm in for a messed up show the likes if Faiz or worse. This episode only introduced 3 characters and I'm not quite sure if I like any if them. The voice actors do really good screams. I know thats an odd thing to say, but in a series like thus where more shit will happen, people need to have a good reaction.Since I'm going to be watching it week to week on Toonami, I'll be super slow getting to the finale. |
Looks like attack on Titan is a manga read for me took me 5 episode subbed to drop it the dub just made it one cause had the same feel like i did with the subbed

Build Fighters 10.
Surprisingly little to say about this episode, the tournament has begun and it looks like the new version of the Build Strike is great, but the rest of the episode was made up largely of skits. Amusing skits certainly, but not skits that really leave a lot for critical discussion. |

I finally finished the Noah arc and honestly, it is a mixed bag. Obviously, it is a giant pile of filler set right in the middle of Battle City, and that is one of the worst things about it. It completely breaks the pace the series had going due to it causing a massive break of 8 hours before the show goes back on track with its main objective. The duels drag on for way too long, especially the one with Noah and the Deck Master rules are some of the worst aspects of the show. There might be problems with Duelist Kingdom's lack of actual rulings, but their issues pale in comparison to those of the Deck Master rules. There is no establishment of what the Deck Masters can do until a mcguffin is needed to win the duel or halt the protagonist from winning. It does nothing to the show but force the viewer to sit there bored out of their mind. This is filler material, so it is inexcusable to see duels dragged out for 3-5 episodes.
The only redeeming factor of this arc is the amount of back story given for Kaiba and Mokuba. Unfortunately, the pay off comes off as awkward as the virtual world stuff just does not make a lick of sense and once again, it kills the pacing. Overall, this is an arc that should have been no more than 13 episodes as it just drags on in the middle and rules are just pulled out of the ass crack that it is not even funny. Plus, the whole explosion having the soul of Gozubara at the end is quite laughable, but not in a good way. It is a shame the animators couldn't figure out something better to do while they waited for the rest of Battle City to end in the manga because this arc could have been great with a shorter length. Or maybe they shouldn't have tried to adapt a manga that had yet to have enough material for a complete story?

Either they summoned Dragon Master Knight, or they have a monster that can add his attack power to their own. Even in GX, it was brought down using this exact same tactic. |

Started Gurren Lagann yesterday. Definitely a fun series, but I feel like I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have because of my bad mood.

Watching Black Cat right now

So after I finish Madoka, what are some other good animes for me to watch. I would prefer if they were shorter as I am currently watching other series too.

Nobunaga 2. Dat...incest?
I guess this is possibly gonna break the series for me? As I neither like the mech designs nor that clunky CG animation a lot of anime has started using. Honestly between the poor animation and clunky dialogue, about the only thing I enjoyed in this episode was the ridiculous Shoujo reimagining of some of Histories greatest monsters. |
