And I recommend watching something other than Magiranger de gozarimasu desu.

That would be the VS movie with Magiranger. Though this one does have two elite Rangers who come off as aloof turning out to be bad guys.

If one is going to watch Magiranger, they should definitely avoid the TV-Nihon subs.

I have Tinyhenshin's subtitles so unless they're as bad as early TVN, I should be good

The good news is that the subs done by Tinyhenshin are very well done.

Highly recommend Tinyhenshin's subs. They're just really good, a bit like Magiranger itself

So the "O-baka-san-tachi = fools" subs are definitely part of my issues with Magiranger de gozarimasu desu. Mostly, though, I just think the show isn't very good de gozarimasu desu.

This is why I have trust issues.


I think I'll end up doing Magiranger first because it seems more goofy and lighthearted, my mental state has been dreadful and it'd be nice in between Liveman and the more serious Shinkenger

It's not like we can stop you, but I do have to agree with Switchblade here. Magiranger's mediocre at best, IMO. However, as you survived ToQGer, then I'm sure you won't have much problem with this.

For me personally, Magiranger is a legitimately good Sentai series and it is worth checking out at least once.
