I mean, Gavv has a much smaller cast than a typical Reiwa series period. This feels like a deliberate throwback to the early Heisei shows where the casts were much smaller and focused. The advanced shooting schedule has also been a net gain in my opinion. There's more care placed into the action, and the best part is that there's no sign of a bullshit retool as a response to low toy sales.

I personally saw the heart issue with Vram Jelly Custom being a weakness to the form's powers, kind of like how most of Gavv's forms have a weakness.

Would it be nice if the boy Hajime made a return as he runs away from home due to his parents badmouthing about Shoma & his heroics?
Be nice if Rakia interacted with him about Shoma's situation, even reuniting with Shoma. Can't imagine his mom would think of going on a witchhunt on Shoma, Hanto & Rakia and getting Hapipare to find her son, thinking they'll harm him. But Sachika would refuse her help as she knows her friends aren't the bad guys, but Stomach Inc. are. |

All I can think is that filming and post-production, like the editing/assembly of the opening sequence would've been different steps taking place at different times. The material that was filmed would've reflected the show's creators' ideas for how the series would progress very early on, and the pieces the opening production team had to work with would've been based on what had been filmed. If the opening was the first thing that got filmed, Rakia might not yet have been cast at that point. Regardless, the idea that the first half of the opening reflects only early ideas could explain why some of the things the short-term things the opening sequence implies came to pass (Hanto becoming a Rider and developing a good relationship with Shouma and Sachika) while other long-term elements haven't (Sachika potentially as a Rider and a regular progression of the Stomach family dying, etc.) |
Do you all see Gavv based off of Fenrir or Garmr as the Stomach siblings are based off of Norse creatures

I think if Gavv's design even has an animal inspiration (which it might or it might just be a coincidence), a rabbit would fit better than a wolf. The toed shoes also look like rabbit paws, the crests on his head in Poppin Gummy and especially Over/Master forms look more like rabbit ears than wolf ears, and it fits better with both Shoma's sweet personality and his "bouncy" fighting style.

Gavv's animal motif is a kangaroo; the Gavv being a "pouch" that Shouma gets his minions from.
